  1. This team is a long long way away from being a contender. When i say contender i mean a team that wins 90 games not an 83 win division champion.
  2. Bucksman, when Sheets is healthy the guy is definitely a number one starter. Look at the numbers. This season has to be thrown out because he has been injured all year. In 2004 he was as good as any pitcher in the game and he was also excellent last year. Unfortunately the team was terrible and never scored any runs for him so his record never showed how good he was.
  3. This team has one outfielder that may be a decent everyday player in Corey Hart. The rest of these outfielders are no better than 4th or 5th outfielders. Melvin better trade for two new outfielders before next season because Mench, Gross, Clark, and especially Jenkins all suck.
  4. Bucksman, as far as Sheets is concerned the guy just isnt healthy. Its easy to say now that he isnt worth the contract but the fact is the guy is great when healthy. Unfortunately the guy is constantly hurt and unable to show the fans how great he can be.
  5. Ned is a moron and that is absolutely not an opinion but a fact.
  6. Houston is basically as pitiful as we are offensively and Sheets gives up 7 runs to them. The guy has nothing on his fastball and it shows. Are we ever gonna be able to count on a healthy Ben Sheets to lead this pitching staff.
  7. Thanks thablingster. Ben is probably hurt again.
  8. Sheets stuff is subpar tonight. Does anyone know how hard he is throwing tonight. Doesnt look like mid 90s thats for sure.
  9. Miller hits about as well as Brady Clark nowadays.
  10. Very true about the Crew being deeply flawed.
  11. I am watching this game and I can tell you that Sheets doesnt have good stuff. The Houston announcers mentioned once that he was throwing around 88 mph. Does anyone know if Sheets is still throwing below 90.
  12. Yost totally lost that game for us. I dont blame Turnbow because it is obvious that he needs several solid outings in non pressure situations before he can pitch in a 1-1 tie in the ninth. As far as this offense is concerned its terrible. Hart is the only outfielder on this team worth keeping and Bell is just flat out terrible as well.
  13. This is all on Yost once again. The man is just completely clueless.
  14. I know that Smoltz is pitching but this offense is terrible. I know most of the posters here have been screaming about the Crew needing more pitching but the offense is a much bigger problem. This entire outfield needs to be replaced before next season. I would personally like to see Hart in RF and two new starting outfielders. Clark,Jenkins, and Mench are just not good enough.
  15. I am as frustrating as anyone about Sheets. I cant tell you how much I hear from coworkers about how Sheets never pitches. I still defend him because I believe that injuries are just bad luck and that things will turn in Ben's favor in the future.
  16. Bucksman, Sheets is a great pitcher when healthy. He is a great competitor who truly wants to win. You cant blame a guy for being hurt. Hopefully he will be ok and pitch in 5 days. The guy is an ace and he will lead this team to a championship.
  17. I know im just grasping at straws here but maybe Ben will make his next start.
  18. Any word on the severity of Sheets latest injury?
  19. Can anything ever go right for this team? I mean enough with the injuries already. The sad thing is a healthy Brewers team could have made the playoffs this year with the NL being so damn weak.
  20. Turnbow is toast. The guy is afraid to throw his off speed pitches and he is all over the place with his fastball. You can totally see that he looks scared out there.
  21. I guess Corey is gonna be riding the bench the rest of the year. Absolutely brilliant!
  22. Any word on Rickie. We cant afford to lose him even for a day or two. Barnwell just flat out cant hit.
