  1. How about we trade Gwynn while he still has some value off his name recognition. He has no future with this team.
  2. Probably because JD Drew kind of sucks.
  3. I wouldnt trade Parra. This kid has the potential to be excellent and I just wouldnt trade him to rent a player for two months.
  4. I believe he was teammates with Jenkins at USC. Maybe Jenkins can convince him to come aboard to platoon with him. Anything to get rid of Mench.
  5. I would like to see him stick around. Personally I would like to see him replace Suppan but that will never happen.
  6. I have no problem whatsoever in trading Turnbow. I would like to think we could get something better than Wily Mo Pena. Turnbow will never be a reliable guy in my opinion. He can look great or teriible you just never know. All I know is when he comes in trying to protect a one run lead I have no confidence whatsoever. How about Manny Delcarmen and Pena for Turnbow and Mench?
  7. I really hope that the Brewers arent thinking of trading for Wily Mo Pena. He is exactly what this team does not need.
  8. Enough already with the love for Gwynn. The guy cant get the ball out of the infield. At least Weeks gets on base and he has far more potential to get out of his slump than Gwynn ever has of hitting. Gwynn is nothing more than a 5th outfielder. The guy has shown throughout his career in the minors that he cant hit. That will never change. If Melvin is smart he will take advantage of the Gwynn name and trade him before the rest of baseball comes to their senses and realizes that he just isnt any good.
  9. What is with all these personal attacks anyway? I am just venting my frustrations with the way this team is playing.
  10. brewmann04, i dont think there is any doubt that Mark A is going nuts behind the scenes. I also agree with you that the bullpen is gasssed due to the starters never going more than 6 innings. Vargas just had his first start of more than six innings all season and Suppan hasnt gone longer than six in months. Villanueva in particular has been way overused and its showing.
  11. There is some serious character flaws with this team. This team collapsed in the second half last year and is doing it again now. We were horrendous on the road last year and that has continued this season. Good teams just dont play this poorly on the road. The team just looks like it has lost all confidence. They look like they are just waiting for the other shoe to drop. I just dont see any leadership on this team whatsoever. Yost and his attitude that nothing is ever wrong has gotten old and a change needs to be made. This team is more than talented enough to win 90 games in this lousy league and division. Another losing season at this point is just completely unacceptable. I am sure that Attanassio is losing his mind right now and wont put up for much more of this. He is an impatient guy who expects results and he expects it now. This is why I think Yost has managed his last game for the Crew.
  12. This is the most depressing season ever to be a Brewers fan. First place for most of the season only to fall apart once again. Seriously why does this team do this to us. How could they start the season off so well just to have the wheels fall off once again. Im depressed. Sad thing is I desperately need time away from this team yet I am sure that I will be by my tv come tuesday night to see this team break my heart some more.
  13. How about this team starts going with the best pitchers that it has. That means that Suppan must be held accountable for his lousy performance despite his ridiculous contract. If this team really wants to win they wont let Suppan stay in the rotation any longer. Unfortunately there is no accountability on this team if you have a large contract. Weeks can ride the pine because he is young and making no money yet Suppan can stay in the rotation because he is a veteran and makes lots of money. Sounds like a lot of garbage to me.
  14. When you start the season 24-10, 82 wins is not a successful season. Anything less than the playoffs at this point when we have been in first place all season loss is a failure.
  15. Buster Olney just mentioned that a three team trade was on the table involving Dye, the Red Sox and the Brewers but that it fell apart. I think the Red Sox were getting Dye but I dont know what the Brewers were giving or getting.
  16. This is the third game this week alone that we have choked away. Cordero is just like the rest of this team, great at home garbage on the road. This team cant even hold on to a 6-0 lead.
  17. 6-0 lead in the third inning. How many games can this team choke away. Cordero why do you suck so much on the road?
  18. With Balfour out of options we should have waited till September to call him up. Instead we are stuck with a guy who couldnt even cut it with Tampa. If Tampa Bay doesnt want you its a very bad sign. This was a bad miscalculation by Melvin. If Balfour is any good at all he will be closing with Tampa by next season.
  19. With all the callups and this lousy Linebrink trade where does this system rank now in regards to other teams in MLB? Do we still have a highly ranked system with lots of future stars or are we now lacking impact minor league talent? How do guys like Jeffress, Laporta and Brewer project in the future. Its great that we have guys like Braun, Gallardo, and Parra in the majors now but is the system now in major need of guys with high upsides. I thought Inman was that type and Im really upset to see him go. Any thought on where this system stands now?
  20. What a terrible terrible trade. To trade these guys for an average reliever like Linebrink is inexcusable.
  21. Typical dopey Yost comment. The problem isnt with hitting fly balls its the fact that most of the balls he is referring to are weak popups. Line drives are fly balls too we just arent getting wnough of those. Yost really says some stupid things sometimes.
  22. I wish they could get Griffey but I would settle for Dye. I bet he is more clutch than Mench and Jenkins.
  23. This team finds so many different ways to choke games away. Why is it so rare for this team to pull out an unlikely victory.
  24. How can anyone possibly be optimistic at this point. The way this team is playing on the road is ridiculously bad. We cant even beat teams like Washington, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnatti when we are away from Miller Park. Just doesnt make any sense. We cant count on going 8-2 on every 10 game homestand and going 3-7 on 10 game road trips. Pitiful.
  25. This team is too much like last years team. A collapse waiting to happen. We couldnt get clutch hits last year and we cant this year either. Even Braun hits into a double play with the bases loaded. This team was wretched on the road last season and its the same this year. How can a team play so well at home most of the time and be so bad on the road. The home/road splits are just ridiculous. Not only do I see this team falling out of contention completely I expect this team to finish below 500. This team is just so depressing to watch.
