I'm sort of waiting for the inevitable giving up of 3-4 runs by Soup Your wait has ended quickly. Soupcan = Poopcan again tonight. Looks like he is pitching BP this inning.
I wonder if the 2nd game will end up 1-0 or something. I did a double take on the box score when i saw the ChiSox had committed 5 errors. That is absolutely fantastic.
This is a must win series, and seeing as how my Brewer Fever is back in remission, it might just be a must sweep series. SHOW SOME DOMINATION PLEASE!!!
Hopefull the Crew can do today what I saw at Jacob's Field last night, but i will take a tally in the eigth just as well. Hard to believe the Indians can only pull in 18k on a beautiful summer night in June. Its not like anything else is going on here.
If he was putting up the line he did today every time out, then i would say he is earning his contract. To me, his outing today was okay, but not great. Maybe my standards are higher than average, but i doubt it. Soup has been struggling for well over a month.
Suppan has 7 K, 0 BB and 3 ER through six innings and people are calling it a bad start. Seven hits, but five of them were singles. His second best outing of the year, sorry if I am underwhelmed.
Suppan: 8-7, 4.91 ERA, 87 ERA+, 1.49 WHIP, 48 K's Vargas: 6-1, 4.29 ERA, 92 ERA+, 1.50 WHIP, 69 K's Bush: 5-6, 5.12 ERA, 82 ERA+, 1.332 WHIP, 68 K's I wonder how many people think Bush or Vargas will be making $11 million one day?
Just got back from the game. Awesome offense tonight. Great pitching from CV striking out the side in the 7th. Overall great win (even though i didnt get my 4 home runs http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ). My only complaint: the candyasses that left in the 8th inning. 36,000+ in attendance and it seemed like only 20,000 stuck around to see the W. Where do you have to be on a Friday night that would warrant leaving such a great game? I think it was easy to see who the bandwagon jumpers were tonight. Edit: now that I thought about it, it must have been all the KC Royals fans in attendance that left early.
As one of the only non-JDLR fan here, I hope he doesn't see the 5th inning. Maybe he can hit 100mph on his fastball, but he never felt like learning how to pitch. All I want is 4 Brewer home runs (one being a grand slam), 10 hits, and a Suppan CG.
My Brewer Fever is getting worse as the day goes on, I may have to leave work and go home early before all these flatlanders catch it down here in IL http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
I am, but it's better than Jenkins in the lineup vs LHP. I completely agree and would not have suggested putting Jenks in there. Just hoping Melvin can one day move the Mench. Once that happens, I don't think there will be much to complain about for a while http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
