  1. Weeks should be batting 6th today. Is anyone else getting tired of seeing the word Mench in the lineup?
  2. and "mofo" is a abbreviation for a word that is banned here, making that word banned as well. I know, it's harsh, but that's how we roll... How about meekrab?
  3. I think i'm coming down with another case of Brewer Fever. I thought I shook it, but now a relapse http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  4. Lineups: While I think we will take care of bidness tonight, i had to vent about this lineup in the vent thread. Why Ned, why can't it make complete (100%) sense, rather than 85% sense.
  5. Yost having Prince DH so he can fit Graffinino into the lineup makes me ultra angry. Edit: Having Counsell and Graffinino bat back-to-back while not taking any advantage of the American League DH rule also makes me hyper angry (maybe its the same anger as above).
  6. Time for a little payback. I saw the two losses at Miller Park, and if I didn't just buy a house, I would be there in Minnie. Take 2 Brew Crew!!
  7. Well at least they aren't New York or Boston fans so that is something to be thankful for. Seeing the Brewers at Shea, almost all of the fans I interacted with (besides the unparented 10-12 year olds) were fun to hang around with. You may be referring to Yankee fans, and to that I have no first hand knowledge to comment on (but I hear Red Sox fans are the worst).
  8. Why? He had a 4 run lead with one guy on 1st. It should have been no big deal. I would put him in in that situation again. IMO, I have a feeling that Turnbow has a somewhat fragile psyche when it comes to pitching. That said, when he expected to come in for his normal role and subsequently was told to sit tight for a while, it might have messed with his mojo. Yost should know his players by now, and he should learn from past experiences (Philly game). I am not the only one questioning this move, as it was the second question asked in the press conf.
  9. We all probably get too caught up in Cubs fans coming up here. They can be pretty obnoxious, though. Good point. I think the thing that bugs Brewer fans the most about sCrub fans is that they aren't even fun to hang around. The strong majority of them are terrible to talk to, pompous, and painful to be around. It would be different if they were better fans, but this is what we get for being so close to Chicago. All the sweeter when we CRUSH their overpriced team!!
  10. Luckily for the Brewers, Turnbow is automatic most of the time. The ERA is starting to show otherwise. I love it when he's on, but its just as painful when he is off. In his defense, he should have led off the inning or not pitched at all.
  11. Wendlestad squeezed him on DeRosa. Worst squeeze I have seen all year. That pitch at the belt catching white and black on the plate is an inexcusable missed strike call. Still, he didn't pitch all that great. He is shakey most outings. Maybe he needs some horn rimmed glasses and a fresh razor blade haircut?
  12. Turnbow needs to get off his ass in that dugout and watch Coco bail him out from the steps.
  13. Puke. I am about to lose it, and I know I'm not alone.
  14. Estrada continuing to bat 5th makes me more angy every day.
  15. Yeah, but Shouse is no LOOGY. Check his splits and get back to me. Ehh... I've checked career splits on Shouse, and while he does fair better against lefties he still does not strike me as a one out specialist (and if you look at this year's splits its even more uninspiring). On 4 occasions in the last month Shouse has been unable to record one out. He is being used as a LOOGY this year by Yost because its all he has in the pen, but IMO he is no LOOGY, just a sub-mediocre reliever.
  16. That's the whole concept behind a LOOGY. Yeah, but Shouse is no LOOGY.
  17. Counsell in the 2 spot makes some sense, but won't happen tonight. Probably will see that on Saturday though.
  18. I too will be in the house, hoping it doesn't take the Brewers as long to get to 40 wins as it took them to go from 20 to 30 wins. I too expect that lineup. If you move Braun out of the 3 hole, and drop Hardy a spot, which undesirable option bats second? I would try Hall in the 2 spot.
  19. Well, leadoff is Corey's for the next 15 days And if Hart does in the next week or two what he did tonight, he is there to stay.
  20. Yeah, Billy just stays home countin' that money I was thinking he skips practice to go spend it. Way to grind out a W. Now get 2 in a row, I will be there!!
  21. It was all strategic, he fully intended on Cordero starting the inning the entire time. I pretty much thought it was strategic, I just still haven't figured it out.
  22. Corey Hart = New Leadoff hitter. I hope it sticks. What is Ned doing? He must have just woken up, thank God just in time.
  23. After a slow start to the year, Villy's been outstanding. I can't wait to get him in the rotation. Indeed, after he walked the bases loaded in his first outing, he has been lights out. Brian Anderson: "Way to get it going with a one out double." Him and Ned should enroll in Paying Attention 101 - It's Your Job.
  24. Guys, come on. At least play along and be somewhat superstitious. They really have nothing better to say, so they start trying to predict the future. Counsell showing his power there on the first pitch. Now Graffy gets a chance. Sheesh, I was hoping the days of Counselino batting together were over.
