  1. Again, am I the only one losing confidence in guys like Capuano, Sheets, etc. Give me a break.
  2. Am I the only one who has lost confidence in all of our starters except DD and Victor Santos?
  3. Ronny Cedeno loses the ball in the sun, Weeks out at 2nd.
  4. BadgerFan - Great point. I don't care what the stats say. I will say it now: Chris Magruder and Trent Durrington are AAA fillers at best. They are career minor leaguers - nothing more, nothing less. Glad to get that off my chest.
  5. After all, the managers and coaches aren't the ones on the field playing the game. The players are.
  6. We just can't score runs and do the little things to win ballgames. Maybe we really do suck.
  7. Todd Hollandsworth said the Cubs were "battling". Must be Yost's influence.
  8. Attention - Anyone watching on GameDay, is it going unusually slow lately? I'm still on Hardy's AB!
  9. Is it just me, or does GameDay go really slow for everyone else, too? It's still only on two "Swinging Strikes" for Lyle against Will Ohman.
  10. I'd hate to say it, but I like having Moeller out there more than Damian Miller.
  11. True, but when Doug Davis has the highest batting average for a starting pitcher on this club, you know something is wrong. Off the top of my head I can think of 10 good hitting pitchers: Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, Mike Hampton, Horacio Ramirez, Dontrelle Willis, Noah Lowry, Roger Clemens, Jason Jennings, Adam Eaton, Eric Milton. I wouldn't consider these guys automatic outs. But you are right, when the pitcher comes up - he should be an out. I wish we had a pitcher that could hit http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  12. Here's my problem. Your 7-8-9 hitters today are hitting a combined .120! That's a .120 batting average for a MAJOR LEAGUE club. Now, I can see if this was Little League or even a bad high school team. But this is the Major Leagues - this is supposed to be the best of the best competing by playing a baseball game. Granted, the average is dropped because Sheets hasn't had a hit all year, but Hardy and Moeller are below the Mendoza line.
  13. Oh boy. Sheets needs to make A pitch not THE pitch. Calm down, throw strikes. Work with Moeller.
  14. bork - Not a homer by Lee, but by Burnitz. Geez, I'm losing faith in Ben every game.
  15. Billy returning to his GOOD form!
  16. Reminds me why I need to take Corey Patterson out of my fantasy lineup. Aaron Rowand is going to see some starts soon. Nice job, Ben.
  17. Ugh, here's what it said on Gameday: Pitch 1 - Swinging Strike Pitch 2 - Swinging Strike Pitch 3 - Swinging Strike Rickie Weeks strikes out swinging. Not good that all three balls were out of the zone.
  18. Wow, if Kerry Wood was healthy for the majority of his career, his stats would be even more sick. The fact that he has the 6th (I think) most strikeouts in Cubs' history and he's only 28 is scary. But, injuries have killed him and like many good pitchers, limit him from ever achieving his full potential. We're better off!
  19. Where has the good Ben Sheets gone?
  20. Brady Clark has been slumping lately, he needs a few hits.
  21. About Davis in the All-Star game, Daron and Bill were saying how it could happen. If he had a lower ERA, it was would be a definite.
