    I'd be happy if Eveland did nothing but throw meatballs down the heart of the plate. Especially to guys like Howard, Burrell, and Abreu. The guy had a decent game, give him a break.

    Only a combined five players have yet to participate in this marathon. Houston Oswalt Nieve Borkowski Pittsburgh Duke Perez ....Jason Bay with a leadoff walk and then advances to second on a WP. This could be almost over.

    You know the games gone on too long when teams are PH'ing with pitchers.

    The Pirates should be pretty worn out by the time we get them on Monday, they're going into the 17th inning now vs. the Astros. Lets go Bucs, get this one done...even if it takes you 25 innings.

    Sure the Pirates are heating up, but so are the Brewers. I'm not worried about the Pittsburgh series; we'll go 2-2 at worst.

    Joe Buck and Co. are so bored with this game that they're doing nothing but talk to John Smoltz for a whole inning.

    Just wanted to give a shout out to Fox for putting the Cubs/Braves game on this afternoon. Its nice to finally get a chance to see a couple teams play who are never on national television.

    For what its worth, we now have clinched the season series with Philly. Not that it really means that much at this point of the season, but I thought I'd just throw it out there.

    The Royals/Yankees game is now 7-5 in the 9th and in a rain delay. Wouldn't it just make sense if the Yankees come back and win now, nothing can go the Royals way, not even the weather.

    I agree with you. I say Latin Cappy is a no-brainer, but I have a feeling Ned will go with Kolb.

    Big DP there, not only forcing the pitcher lead off next inning, but it keeps Cappy's pitch count down. (35 through two)
