    Generally, I'm more disappointed in the responses (quantity and quality) to said poster than I am to the poster himself. I went back and looked at the evolution of the thread. It streches back farther than the beginning of the thread though. He is responsible for his own credibility (or some may argue the lack thereof) through what he has posted in the past. It's not like he's some innocent first-time poster who suggests an unpopular idea and gets ganged up on. He has a history of this crap and people are fed up with it. He's made his bed, and it's not unreasonable that others demand that he lie in it.

    The threads don't get locked because they're about Branyan, they get locked because people fail to be civil about it. And seeing how practically every Branyan thread has gotten into a flame war and locked in the past, I really can't blame the moderators for giving the issue a very short leash. Interesting how nobody starts threads about how Counsell, Clayton, and Sexson are doing; only Branyan.
