    Shelton is insane. That may even be a slight understatement. His performance so far is borderline 'god-like.' In 5 games so far: 13 for 18 (.722 BA); 2 doubles, 2 triples, 5 home runs (1.889 SLG); he's got a freaking 2.626 OPS! Utterly unbelievable.

    Why do games in Toronto always start at a weird time? Looking at their schedule for the first month, all the home games are 12:37, 1:07, or 7:07. Whereas every other game in baseball starts on something ending in a 5.

    Got a question. In most all of the BP books that I have read to date, they keep reiterating how BABIP shows no consistency across seasons for a pitcher; yet they include it in each player's stats both on their website and in BP 2006. Is there any reason for this outside of maybe just showing how lucky each pitcher was?

    What I found really difficult when learning about the more complex stats is judging where it ranked in nominal terms. Unless one is constantly exposed to them, it takes a long time to get a feel for what signifies good, bad, mediocre, or amazing. The Brewerfan stats glossary doesn't really cover this.
