  1. I dunno, you can't really expect that much more out of Davis today; 7.1 IP, 2 ER, 6 H, 0 BB, 7 K. If that can't get you a win, I'd blame the offense.
  2. Looks like Davis isn't getting his 10th win today either.
  3. Some may disagree and say that a triple-play would've been the worst possible scenario.
  4. That inning caused me to die a little on the inside. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
  5. How old is the girl singing the National Anthem? She sounds like she's 7, but a good job nonetheless.
  6. Lineups: SAN DIEGO Roberts CF Loretta 2B Randa 3B Johnson RF Klesko LF Greene SS Nady 1B Olivo C Peavy P MILWAUKEE Clark CF hardy SS Fielder 1B Lee LF Jenkins RF Hall 2B Branyan 3B Moeller C Davis P
  7. The Brewers (66-70) go for the split against the Padres (68-67) at Miller Park. Pitching Matchup: MIL: Doug Davis LHP ? 9-10, 4.12 ERA ? 1-0, 1.13 ERA vs. SD in 2005 SD: Jake Peavy RHP ? 12-6, 3.01 ERA ? 0-0, 9.00 ERA vs MIL in 2005 Media: ? Television: FSN ? Radio: WTMJ 620
  8. I don't expect they'd accept that I'd accept it. I think he should've stayed there all season long, as opposed to being made to start.
  9. And that's the ballgame. Glad it's finally over.
  10. I'm with PurpleStorm. Sure, he may struggle a whole bunch, but I still like watching him pitch.
  11. At least we got one, but that was still pretty pathetic.
  12. We have to get at least one run out of this.
  13. Good start for both pitching and offense.
  14. I've lost any hope of Fielder starting, I just hope that JJ starts.
  15. When I first realized that Ned was leaving JDLR in to get out of hole he dug himself, I wondered whether our dear manager had indeed gone insane. but upon some further thought, I decided he was right. There is some point where you just have show a pitcher that you're not going to baby him and bail him out if he gets himself into a jam every time out there. I think this was the perfect opportunity; the only thing that could really suffer in that situation was JDLR's ERA, and that was entirely up to him. Good managing right there, Ned.
  16. Way to go Kane. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  17. Lineups, according to CBS Sportsline... San Diego Dave Roberts CF Mark Loretta 2B Brian Giles RF Ryan Klesko LF Joe Randa 3B Xavier Nady 1B Khalil Greene SS Miguel Olivo C Adam Eaton P Milwaukee Brady Clark CF Rickie Weeks 2B Lyle Overbay 1B Carlos Lee LF Geoff Jenkins RF Bill Hall SS Russell Branyan 3B Damian Miller C Rick Helling P JJ goes 3-4 with a two-run homer yesterday, and now he sits on the bench. This is getting outrageous. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  18. Eephus pitch, but yeah, I know what you mean. I read in the paper that we have lost to three pitchers making their major league debut this year. The only one that I can recall that we didn't lose to is Zach Duke; he shut us down too, but we got to the bullpen and came out with a win in that one. It does seem like a troubling trend that should be examined further.
  19. I wish our team would catch fire like that As opposed to the 'going down in flames' type approach that we've known to expect from the Brewers. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  20. I think that people are forgetting that if it wasn't for Brian, this website would not exist; he is spending his time and energy to provide us with a service. If he wants things to be a certain way, then I don't really see anyway that people can argue about it. It's not like you're losing civil rights here, it's just that when you come to this board willingly, you accept the guidelines about content that everything needs to abide by.
  21. I'd let people use my Gameday Audio account, but I'm not sure if that would violate any Brewerfan rules. And I wonder if it would notice if the account was logged in from more than one location.
  22. Alright, just got back from the Cubs game. Got to see the Cubs lose a heartbreaker in person, and now the Marlins can't seem to do anything right. Today has been a good day.
  23. Today was one of the best days of my life. My mother and I headed up about noon to take a stadium tour (awesome, I highly recommend it), hung around downtown Milwaukee until the game, and got to witness the Brewers absolutely slaughter the Marlins. Best game I've ever been to, hands down. Even though there were only 20,000 people there, the atmosphere was still pretty electric, but maybe it just seemed that way because we were a section over from the Bucketheads. Huge standing ovation following the big inning, really neat to experience. I don't recall anyone having a terrible night, seemed that everyone chipped in. Everyone here was whining about Prince or JDLR not getting into the game, but if you were there, it wouldn't have mattered. It was perfect just the way it was, I wouldn't have changed a thing, trust me.
  24. Wow, I just realized that Santos won a game. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  25. Who would have thought that he would pitch better than Ben Sheets? Then again, Vic really wasn't given the full opportunity to give up 8 runs. And Rickie unleashes a bomb.
