We still take 4/7 from the giants and outplayed them 6/7. Hopefully they learn that not executing (errors, walks) is really the only way the giants will beat them in the postseason. I feel great about this team, even better than 2018.

I mean, we’ve really beat the giants left and right aside from avi and the covid bullpen. Even when we’re not getting hits, we’re squaring up on the ball like this first inning. The giants are lucky to have 2 out of 7 and I like our chances if we get them in the playoffs.

It appears that the giants have recalled two right handed pitchers, so aside from Quintana no other crappy lefties have been brought in.

I was also very upset when Baez was dealt. I’m Still hoping for 8 years, 200 million + back to the Cubs. He has consistently been the most overrated player in baseball. well the last time we played the giants all of our guys were out with COVID, just random timing it starts taking them out now.

I might be wrong but it looked like he said 'was that a strike?' referring to the pitch he just swung at. I don't even think not liking the call had anything to do with what he said to the ump or him getting tossed. Maybe I didn't read his lips correctly though. You’re right I first saw it as “that wasn’t a strike” and he just asked “was that a strike?”

These umpires are flat out babies. how the hell do you throw out tellez. He calmly disagreed with a strike call. Hitters literally say that every time. Pina needs to not catch one and let it hit blue

Well, this Barnes looks like he has absolutely no movement on his pitches at all. I miss the weeks/Braun/hardy/hart days when you’d see 4-5 homers off a guy like this. of course we’d give up 3-4 homers as well. Oh well, please start hitting

If I faced this team In the playoffs I’d call up any lefty that threw 92 and under. as long as they throw garbage strikes, we can’t overcome it

I get that the dodgers are really good and the Padres are talented, but can everyone shut up about them? they’re in second and third in their division.

We have to be near the bottle against starting pitching and near the top Against relievers in almost every offensive category. Weird. That could mean they’re just thinking too much early and not attacking. At least My guess.
