    Yep, I plan on going this year. I have a feeling it's going to be absolutely packed, particularly Saturday and Sunday, so my goal is to basically be done by Friday. Hoping all of the newer stuff doesn't infringe on the booths with some good old, beat up, budget-friendly vintage.

    My dog, Brauny, never saw an opening day without his namesake on the Brewers roster. He passed away in his sleep last night.

    Whenever the McRib is announced or advertised, either my wife or I will say "McRib" and the other will respond with "Chomp". I think it was one promotion from a decade or two ago, but it stuck with us...and apparently Homer, too. Oh, and message me for my address to deliver the smoked ribs, too. No doubt yours are better, but there's room for all.

    This incredible package arrived this weekend, just a couple days after my birthday, and included a couple of bonus items like a Jim Gantner 8x10. Wow, what an awesome, generous gesture. Thank you so much!

    The St. Paul Saints giving away an "Astro the Grouch" talking bobblehead that randomly bangs on the trashcan or just says stuff like, "hey, it's a curve ball" does not bug me. The fact it will apparently be given out the same night as the Astros visit the Twins makes it that much better.

    Tomlin worked out at Driveline this offseason. Kyle Boddy tweeted out that "he was able to pick up different pitches and the ability to spin a ball differently rather quickly." Probably a Cam Castro connection/recommendation there.

    He didn't say a lot about it on his podcast other than it was a tough decision and that he is going to deeply miss the show and the people. He also said he would elaborate later on when he could. I mean, he spent about ten minutes talking about it and that's about as much as I could distill from it. His podcast is available for free and it's pretty easy to access with his app. The part that gets stuck behind the paywall is the "Football Five Ways" podcast on Fridays. Up until this week he often devoted significant time talking about Wisconsin sports, and Drew Olson is a regular guest on the show. Not sure if that's going to change now or not. I haven't listened all that much this week.

    I reached out to Dylan through his coach at San Diego when my son was diagnosed with T1D in 2012. Couldn't be a nicer guy. He said it was really difficult to turn down the offer from the Brewers, as it was a dream of his to play professionally and all of a sudden he felt it was best to stay closer to family and put off the dream for a few more years. He simply didn't know what to expect from the diagnosis. Now, of course, it's just something he and all T1Ds deal with every day. It's routine to have to think about carbs and insulin. He offered to answer any questions we had as it pertained to T1D and sports. This weekend, the guy in my avatar is graduating high school. I should probably update my avatar more often. By the way, he also was hoping to be able to come back to the Brewers. Brewer scouts had told him they had noticed major improvements. The team was definitely kicking the tires on him ahead of the 2013 draft. I couldn't be happier for him!

    I have Miguel Fuentes on a Pilots team ball--I've never seen a flat item of his. Surprised to see Rick Auerbach on the list. I'm pretty sure I got him TTM with ease. Granted, that was probably 15 years ago, but... I'll look and see if I have an extra. Steve Hovley is the last card I need signed from the Jalco "Reprint" set of original Brewers. I just got Tommy Harper's card from that set done at a private signing a few months ago. Harper isn't elusive, but he doesn't do much at all through the mail and I kept missing his private signing dates. I know I won't get Hovley on that card, so I consider the set complete and plan on framing it up soon.

    I have a Ruben Quevedo spring training jersey I picked up at the National Sports Collectors Convention several years ago. It's my favorite because, well, let's just say there aren't very many game used jerseys that fit me very well.

    Yeah, we do walk up music for our guys, too. Kind of a fun perk of making it to varsity. Edit: and posting this reminds me I should change the avatar pic, since my boy will be a senior next year. Guess I don't post much.

    Oh, wow. Rest in peace, Ruben. Gone way too soon. Switching out summer/winter clothes over the weekend, I pulled out my Quevedo spring training jersey and wore it right away. It's one of the few authentic jerseys that actually fit me, but that's another story.

    It was either October 2013 or this past April, I believe. I picked it up in the sportscard section in LaCrosse when I was in town for a card show. Brought the family so we made a few side trips, including Toys R Us.

    If I remember correctly, I think I picked up SOM Baseball Express at a Toys R Us. You could check the one in Appleton. Full versions are at Games by James, but the nearest one to you is here in Eau Claire, I believe.

    Given the team's history with these collectibles, Milwaukee's Bobblehead Hall of Fame will certainly be the alternate version.

    I've been out of the game for a bit and could use some advice on postage. About how much does it cost to send two 8x10s out (with minimal backing) to ST? I'd rather just slap some stamps on than go to the post office. Thanks!

    Does anyone have an extra '09 Hardy magnet I could purchase? I ended up purchasing the set mentioned above, but unfortunately there were two Camerons and no Hardys. Not a huge deal at all, of course (and the deal was still worth it to me), but now that I'm close I'd like to finish it off and hang it up. Thanks! Jason

    You'd almost have to tell yourself not to play nose tackle or in many cases the opposing team wouldn't get a play off. Bob Nelson was a beast for the Packers! Was it the 30 for 30 on Bo Jackson that mentioned he (Bo) was so dominant in the game that the makers only designed one play for him? I have to dig mine out this weekend.

    Heck, I'd take it for $20 shipped! I think they are pretty neat! I was able to finish the first year's set, but not that one.

    I've been bitten one too many times on FFB that I just can't play it anymore. Not even our family-only leagues. My son, 13 and none-too-pleased I stopped our family league, joined one Yahoo and one NFL.com league. He's playing for the championship in both, going 12-3 in one league and 14-1 in the other. These were I think 10-team leagues and only 2 or 3 checked out early, as far as I could tell. Kid doesn't chase one-week stat guys and now knows the league better than I do. I guess that's belongs in the What's Not Bugging You...except that it is. Why does he do great and I only suffer soul-crushing defeat? Oh, he won his roto league for baseball, too. I don't even know how to play roto.
