  1. If it's a dislocated pinky, or a broken pinky, can they splint it, and wrap it to the neighboring finger? He'd be able to pitch still. Not sure what he'd do at the plate, but we can't afford to lose him out of the rotation.
  2. You mean his low 70s speed on MLB the Show? Worst rating on the game. Is that on a 1 to 100 scale, or the scouting 20 to 80 scale? I've never played the game, but based on your response, I'm guessing it's 70 of 100.
  3. OK. We get it. You don't like Weeks. He hasn't been hitting. I think we all know that by now. But do you really need to comment after every at bat? Yeah he does. He will be silent as soon as Weeks gets hot because that is just how he posts. It might not be very useful but oh well it is what he brings to the site. That's not "just how I post" at all. Most of the time, I'm quite positive. And when the Brewers were 2-8, I started a thread that we were going to turn it around, trying to keep morale up. Edit: And by the way, when Weeks gets going again, I'll be the first one to cheer him on. You have zero idea what kind of poster I am.
  4. OK. We get it. You don't like Weeks. He hasn't been hitting. I think we all know that by now. But do you really need to comment after every at bat? Who are you, the hall monitor? First comment I've made all night after a Weeks out.
  5. And Rickie "no hit" Weeks ends another inning. In his last 15 games, Weeks is now 6 for 58 with 24 Ks.
  6. And another one gone And another one gone Another one bites the dust Hey, gonna get you, too Another one bites the dust!
  7. Are you freaking serious? Another injury? At least it's his non throwing hand, but still.
  8. Braun has only played in 15 games Sorry, I was going by team games. Ya, it's even more impressive when you consider he missed the Arizona series.
  9. Ryan Braun has got to love having Segura batting in front of him. With Jean's speed, how many times will he be in scoring position for Brauny? Wow.
  10. My understanding is if it hits the foul poll, it's a homerun. Doesn't matter which side, or which way the ball bounces.
  11. Next day: "MLB comes out, apologizes for a blown call. "Our bad", but don't change the score.
  12. Stupid umpires. You HAVE THE TECHNOLOGY FOR A REASON. Review it, you idiot.
  13. Sorry bout the double post. Forum seems to be having some issues tonight.
  14. So nice to turn on the game a few minutes late, and see we're already up 5-0.
  15. So nice to turn on the game a few minutes late, and see we're already up 5-0.
  16. I personally think those days are behind him. We have better options in Aoki and Segura in those spots, and with them both being second year players, Rickie had better learn how to produce lower down in the order. Agreed. While Rickie's OBP will go up, as I expect he'll start taking some more walks (I think he's just trying to get his swing on track), Segura creates a nightmare scenario for opposing pitchers. Jean is really fast. I mean really, really fast. The chances that either Jean or Nori are going to be on (or both) when the Hebrew Hammer comes up are pretty damned good, and their speed adds something else that pitchers have to worry about. Ignore the runner on first, there's a good chance that they're going to be standing on second in a minute (with only a small chance that they'll be back at first again in a few minutes. Sorry, Jean, I had to . Pay too much attention to the guy at first, and you lay a nice fat breaking pitch a little high, or your fastball gets up, and #8 is trotting around the bases. I think Ideally, when our horses get back, the lineup should now look like this: 1. Aoki in right 2. Segura short 3. Murder incorporated in left 4. A Ram at third 5. Luc behind the plate 6. Hart at first 7. Gomez in center 8. Weeks at second 9. the guy on the mound If Rickie gets his game going, I really like him at #8. Why? Because he can be like another leadoff hitter, and he's actually started stealing some bases again. And he seems to perform much better in low pressure situations. If Rickie can get on to start an inning, you get an out from the pitcher, then you have two .375 OBP guys with speed up next. That's a lot of guys up for Braun and Ramirez.
  17. Rickie's splits for 2013 can be found here: http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/split.cgi?id=weeksri01&year=2013&t=b
  18. I understand it's a very small sample size, but the numbers for Rickie thus far in the #4 spot have not been encouraging. So not wanting to overreact, I am looking for the logic behind Ron Roenicke's leaving Rickie as Ryan Braun's protection. Rickie has batted cleanup in 10 games thus far. He's batting .100 (4 for 40) with 3 doubles. He's driven in 2 runs. His OBP is .182. His slugging is .175, giving him an OPS of .357. He has a 50% strikeout rate (20 k's in 40 at bats). For the entire season (not just the time batting cleanup), Rickie is batting .053 with runners in scoring position (1 for 19, a .053 average. He has walked 3 times, and struck out 9 times. With men on base, Rickie is batting .091 for the season. In high leverage situations (highest pressure situations, like being at bat with 2 outs and the bases loaded), Rickie is hitting .063 (1 for 16) with a .292 OPS. In low leverage situations (lowest pressure situations, like being up with nobody on, and no outs), Rickie is hitting .316 (6 for 19) with a 1.041 OPS. I believe that players should work out of their slumps. I believe that Rickie will turn this around. And I like Rickie Weeks. But is there justification for leaving him in the cleanup spot in the order? The three men hitting in front of him are getting on base: Nori Aoki's OBP is .356. Jean Segura's OBP is .417. Ryan Braun's OBP is .411. Are you guys for giving him more time batting cleanup, or do you think a change should be made now. Additionally, do you feel that Ron Roenicke will give him more time, or will he make a move?
