  1. Orlando "Honus" Arcia. Jesus H. I tell you guys, I think he's going to become a pretty good hitter. He just needs to put it all together.
  2. Hahaha! Three more outs, and I get to run next door, and tear my Cubs fan's "W" flag the hell out of its holder.
  3. Good question. Hader might start the ninth, with JJ as the Alert Five aircraft.
  4. Dude has had a .991 OPS in September coming into today. We're not playing today without him.
  5. That wouldn't guarantee it, as Arenado has yet to play. But it sure would be sweet!
  6. CAIN IS ABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here comes the MVP!
  7. ESPN had the Brewers with only one division title in their history. ***? 1981, 1982 and 2011. That's three.
  8. If Cain walks here, my heart might just stop. The baseball looks like a freaking beach ball to #22 right now.
  9. Coach Cooper always said "Wear a cup if you want to be a Daddy." I was a second fielder and right fielder. I wasn't planning on getting behind the plate in a practice, lol. After that, even if I was just driving by a baseball park, I had my cup. Dooooooooooooooooooooomingo!!!!
  10. I had that exact same thing happen in WPR baseball when I was like 14. Warming up my buddy, but with no cup. That was pain I will never forget.
  11. My nerves are on edge. Who's going to be the hero for the Brewers? How about a nice three run homer in the top of the eighth by Yelich to get the Triple Crown! Attaboy, Arcia!!!!! There's hope for him with the stick.
  12. This must be what it was like watching Babe Ruth in his prime. Yelich is absolutely insane right now. Wow. Per my spreadsheet through Yelich's three at bats tonight, here are his second half stats: 63 games 250 at bats 56 runs scored 91 hits 18 doubles 5 triples 25 home runs 66 RBI 9 for 11 in stolen bases (81.8%) 33 walks 49 strikeouts 194 total bases .364 AVG .438 OBP .776 SLG 1.214 OPS These are video game numbers.
  13. Yelich entered the day with a 6.4 WAR according to Baseball-Reference.com, and that's not updated for tonight, when he went 2 for 5 with a triple, home run, and 6 RBI. He'll be at a 6.5-6.6 tonight, with 4-5 games left. A few good games, and he'll push close to 7. 110 runs scored, 181 hits, 34 doubles, 7 triples, 33 home runs, 104 RBI, 21 SB, .321 AVG, slash of .390/.583/.973 157 OPS + that's hardly average from a #2 hitter in the lineup. Driving in 100 + from the two slot is nuts. He has 327 total bases, one behind Baez. And hitting is down this year. Only 7 guys in the entire National League at over .300.
  14. It's Yelich. No argument to be made for Baez, or anyone else, now.
  15. Remember tonight as the night when Yelich won the MVP. There shouldn't be any contest now. And Brauny with 3 bombs in two games against the hated Cardinals. Oh, how sweet it is. If we sweep tomorrow night, I want to see someone untuck their shirt as they cross home plate, just to piss off the sanctimonious Cardinal fans and team.
