    I keep hearing Colorado fans say how great their offense is. Look where they play? It seems not to register with them at all, even after you point out their splits.

    I would really like to see Ryan Braun break out of it. His average has dropped 50 points in June (well, almost). He was hitting .327 on June 1st. He's hitting .179 for the month with a .263 OBP and a .333 SLG. I don't remember his ever being this off for this long, and it's just killing my fantasy team.

    Bwaaaahahaha! I'm watching the game replay right now. That grand slam by Luc might just be the greatest thing I have ever seen. God, I love karma!

    Man, I loved watching Gwynn hit. And as great as he was on the field, he was a better man off of it. Watch the Ted Williams documentary that HBO did. Tony Gwynn talks about the 1999 All Star Game at Fenway. Gwynn remembers when Williams leaned into Mark McGwire and asked if he ever smelled burnt wood when he fouled the ball off. Gwynn is just laughing like a kid. I loved it. The guy was so full of life. Cancer just sucks. I'm still sad today.

    Not to belabor this, but Marco Estrada's last 6 starts: 34 2/3 IP 27 ER 13 HR 7.00 ERA When, Ron, are you going to drop him from the rotation, especially when we have somebody willing to step in @ AAA in Jimmy Nelson. When?

    I am getting sick of the Mariners offense. I have Felix Hernandez on my fantasy team. He's thrown 15 straight scoreless innings, and I'm going to get a second straight no decision because the inept Mariners can't score a single run.

    I don't know if the Reds could ever pass the hatred I have for the Cardinals. I respect their history. I just hate being the equivalent of their chew toy.

    Roenicke needs to bench Braun for a while. The guy needs a rest. I don't know what's wrong with him, but he's not right.

    Luc with 25 doubles a triple and 5 HR. That's 31 extra base hits in 62 games played. Pretty darned impressive for a catcher! .912 OPS. Wow!

    Lucroy is playing at a different level this year. I hope you guys are filling out All Star ballots for him. He deserves to be there. But the rest of the country will just mash Buster Posey and Yadier Molina because they can't think for themselves.

    Our #1-3 hitters are a combined 0 for 15 with 10 Ks. I think Braun needs a few days off. 3 for his last 25. I don't care how hard he's hitting the ball. He's not contributing anything in the #2 spot.

    I don't think Machado is overhyped at all. The kid hit .283, had 51 doubles, 14 home runs and 71 RBI, and won a Gold Glove at age 20. Three years ago, before Mike Trout came along, we'd be absolutely falling over one another talking about how great this kid is. As he matures a little more, some of those doubles are going to become home runs. He'll hit 20-25 bombs a season, and play Gold Glove defense at third. We'd trade pretty much any prospect we have in the system to get Machado in Milwaukee. And I can't believe people are knocking his slash line this season. He's only played 35 games this year because he's still trying to come back from the leg injury he suffered at the end of last season. He ruptured the medial patellofemoral ligament in his left leg right at the end of the season. That's not as bad as tearing the MCL, or ACL, but it takes a good long while to heal. As far as his behavior goes, watch him going forward. I hope he'll mature, just like I hope Harper will mature. What he did was wrong, and the suspension should have been longer. But it's done now.

    I'm not watching the game, as I'm about to eat dinner. But what's wrong with Braun? His average has dropped about 25 points in the last six games. Is he making decent contact? Or, is he looking like he needs time off again?

    Good evening, everybody. I have to agree with everybody else. It's time for Estrada to lose his starting spot in the rotation. The only question is, how long until Ron gets around to doing it?

    Hey, I think there's a pitcher yet in the bullpen who hasn't been used tonight, just in case Ron was trying to use everybody.
