  1. Khris chases ball 4 in the dirt. Sigh. Hello 20 games under.
  2. Come on Krush, win this thing!
  3. Attaboy, Scooter! Kid is clutch.
  4. If we don't score here, we fall to 20 games below .500...
  5. And Henderson promptly gives it right back. Another home run. Gah.
  6. Mean Jean hitting machine! That's what he was doing early in the season, placing the ball to center and right. 3-3!!!!
  7. http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/1541/fgyp.png
  8. In his first month as a starter, Scooter Gennett led all Major League hitters in the month of August with a .423 average. Scooter stroked 33 hits in 78 at bats with 4 doubles, a triple and 4 home runs. He scored 14 runs and drove in 9. Scooter finished the month with a .452/.654/1.106 slash line. He hit safely in 20 of his last 22 games. He was also outstanding defensively. Pretty good production for a slap hitter. Great job, Scooter!!!
  9. The last 162 games, Luc is batting .295 with 23 HR and 97 RBI. That's some outstanding production.
  10. He's going to St. Louis. Watch their pitching coaches turn him back into a dominant arm again, and it will end up screwing us somehow. I know it.
  11. We're moving into the 6th inning, and Gallardo has 80 pitches. Oh, please, get out of this inning quickly, Yo. No bullpen. No bullpen.
  12. Players I've lost for the year: Matt Harvey Ryan Braun David Wright Jason Marquis Jason Heyward Players that have missed a substantial amount of playing time: Yadier Molina Troy Tulowitzki Matt Moore Matt Cain Domonic Brown Carlos Gomez I also planned on Oscar Taveras coming up in September, but he, too, is out for the season. My team has been absolutely decimated by injuries this year, and somehow I'm still 25 games over .500. It's been my young pitchers that have carried me. Harvey, Zack Wheeler, Jose Fernandez, Matt Moore, Shelby Miller, Julio Tehran, Madison Bumgarner, Hyun-Jin Ryu.
  13. LOL, Betancourt pinch hitting? Here comes a K.
  14. Chapman wanted no part of Davis. Ouch, that had to hurt. 102 mph, wow.
  15. I don't want to see John Axford on the mound in a Brewers uniform ever again. Let Thornburg get more work. The Ax man has cometh, and goneth.
  16. Welp, there goes a chance for a big inning. Ugh.
  17. For one thing, Wily Peralta needs to learn how to do more work on less pitches. He only allowed one run, but at the same time, he only went five innings. Not sure if going a sixth would have made a difference, as the wheels still would have fallen off the clown car whenever Axford came in. It's time for Axford to go. Period. He's never going to get it back.
  18. John Axford coming into the game is something like this... http://williamgregory.net/images/austin.gif
  19. I added Krush, er Khris to my fantasy team, and he immediately rewards me with an RBI double. Wee!
  20. Ok, my first three Khris Davis autos: http://imageshack.us/a/img5/9779/2011chromekdavisbgs.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img32/151/11chromekdavisgoldref.pnghttp://imageshack.us/a/img521/6582/11chromekdavisref.png I have another base and a blue Chrome refractor auto on the way. I got the graded base for $15. That could end up being a really nice bargain the way Khris is hitting the ball.
  21. One thing I've noticed is that Khris loves to jump on the first pitch. Off the top of my head, at least three of his home runs, including his second tonight, have come on the first pitch. He's got some serious power. I mean hit it out of any park power. For 5'11" 200 lbs, he's got some serious thump.
  22. Davis is making Jonathan Mayo look bad. He was only the #16 prospect coming into the season for Milwaukee.
  23. How about the "kids" tonight? Khris Davis and Scooter Gennett tonight combined: 5 for 7, a walk, 4 runs scored, 1 double, 3 home runs, 5 RBI. For the season: Davis: .338 AVG, 8 HR, 17 RBI .412/.730/1.141 in 74 ABs Gennett: .330 AVG, 5 HR, 13 RBI .375/.567/.942 in 97 RBI Somebody please slap me, because I am really getting excited. Small sample size, obviously, but these guys can hit in the Majors. Add in Segura, Gomez and Peralta, then mix them in with guys like Lucroy and Braun in their prime, and we've got some real hope for the future. I think Francisco can be a really nice power bat, and if he can work on his defense and cut down on the strikeouts, he could have a future here. Who knew we could have so much fun being 16 games under .500?
  24. He doesn't always have the hang time that Khris Davis does, but they count the same on the scoreboard.
  25. Multi home run games this year by Khris Davis and Scooter Gennett: 2 Multi home run games this year by Ryan Braun, Corey Hart, Rickie Weeks, and Aramis Ramirez: 0 Oh, the times they are a changing in Milwaukee.
