  1. Chatwood has 22 strikeouts in his last 44 innings (8 starts) coming into tonight, yet he's struck out 11 Brewers through 7. No walks allowed. He's thrown 106 pitches, of which 73 have been strikes. Our offense is just terrible now, and Roenicke inexplicably keeps throwing Betancourt and Francisco out there.
  2. Why the hell is Betancourt still on this team? There isn't some youngster we could be giving playing time to instead? Betancourt is not in any way a part of our future!!!!!!
  3. Segura is now 0 for his last 18. Maybe it's time to give him a day off?
  4. I acquired and started Peralta in my fantasy league. Blame this on me.
  5. http://www.jsonline.com/sports/mark-attanasio-im-sad-about-ryan-brauns-season-ending-suspension-b9961709z1-216867271.html
  6. Good trade. I'm shocked that we got anything of value for a half season of K Rod. I'm so happy to have something else to talk about, so I went and picked up one of his cards. http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/5787/tm17.png $9.99 with free delivery. Not bad. I like the power potential + plate discipline. If he could stick at third, and be even decent defensively, this is a win. It's at least a little ray of sunshine through the dark clouds.
  7. I'll get ripped apart for this, but I agree with everything you just said. I think Braun took something (most likely to heal after a long 2011 season filled with injuries), but I would bet that he didn't take a PED. Mark McGwire, between his rookie year and 1998, when he hit 70 home runs, bulked up by 37 pounds. Ryan Braun, between 2007 and 2012, added 8 pounds. His rookie year, he averaged a home run every 14.4 at bats. In 2012, he averaged a home run every 14.55 at bats (those numbers are from memory earlier this evening.) Where's the gains from these steroids he's supposedly taking? Braun was a top 100 amateur talent per Baseball America. He was an All-American at Miami. Are we supposed to believe he was juicing in high school?
  8. With a guy on second, why does Roenicke still have Gorzelanny in after four hits and a walk? Trying to give the Padres another run?
  9. Ok, dude. I think we've heard your opinion several times now. Your schtick is getting old. Maybe step away from the computer for a while, hmm?
  10. Caleb Gindl wins it with his first career home run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Walk off bomb!!!!!!!
  11. I'm hearing the same thing on the television broadcast. They're trying to stay positive, but they're ready to go home, and a little bored. Brian especially sounded a little put off after we failed to drive Jean in.
  12. Jesus, Francisco, how many balls in the dirt can you swing at in one game. Come on, can we please score and end this thing???
  13. Wily is dominating right now. I am so glad I bought all those Topps Chrome autos early on. I think soon they're going to start getting a little more expensive. http://imageshack.us/a/img27/7982/12tchromewperaltaatomic.png Check out Wily's stats in his last 6 starts: 41 1/3 IP, 25 hits, 15 walks, 32 strikeouts. 4 earned runs 3-1 0.87 ERA 0.977 WHIP Oh ya, baby!
  14. We'll be lucky to score today. Keep it going, Wily. You're pretty much on your own.
  15. Today's lineup: 1. Aoki 2. Schafer 3. Segura 4. Francisco 5. Weeks 6. Maldonado 7. Gindl 8. Bianchi 9 Peralta You've got to be kidding me. Ya, Braun needs a day off. Heaven forbid he play three games in a row. Lucroy can't play. He's only got six home runs in his last nine games. Gomez, though slumping, doesn't need to play. He only leads our team with fifteen home runs. What a joke of a lineup. Way to go, Ron.
  16. I bet Wily Peralta feels he has to hold the fish to a run in order to have a chance to win.
  17. Big inning, 3 across. Rickie with a bomb! And Luc with a double to drive in Aoki, now needs a triple for the cycle. Over his last ten games, Luc is batting .389 with 2 doubles, 6 home runs and 11 RBI. His average is climbing, up to .284 now. Woo hoo!
  18. Ok, so next game, we're up 2-0 again. Four hits to start the home half of the first, with Brauny's double driving in Aoki and Segura. Completely different lineup when Ryan is in it.
  19. A 2-0 win would be really nice, but I think anybody watching this game would agree it's been pretty boring overall.
  20. 3 stolen bases in the inning, and we don't score. Drat.
  21. So, if we fail to score here, we're 19 games below .500? Can that be right? From 96-66, to 83-79, and now 37-56 (again, baring a comeback in the ninth).
  22. Tim Lincecum with his first career no hitter. Considering how bad he was last year, it's good to see him turning it around.
  23. Luc's last ten games: 13 for 38 (.342) with 2 walks (.375 OBP) 1 double, 5 home runs, 10 RBI. .763 SLG, 1.138 OPS That's just sick.
