Assuming there isn't a deal to not pay property taxes to develop the land for x years, and is partially subsided by state funds. Like it's a lose lose situation that I don't understand why it's debated. -
Still taxpayer dollars to do all of that.

Imagine the comments some of these fuddyduddys would have when the brewers left and they had to still fund the upkeep of an empty baseball stadium with taxpayer funds.

Call me a millennial but I like the chaos the expanded playoffs bring. Bring on the chaos, the current format is perfect for that. Baseball needs to expand the playoffs more, make it a tournament like the Stanley cup (arguably the best professional league playoff tourny) that represents the grind of the season. Play 150some games, and then play 3 rounds best of 7 to get to the world series best of 7. If you won 100+ games that would be to your advantage. Until they do this, I wholely welcome our chaos overlords of this 3/5/7/7 format.

Or add two more teams, make the top teams play those teams instead of having 5 days off. Cincy v braves and LA vs cubs. Make wc 5 games and DS 5 games. The fans will be there (well, except in Tampa)

Canha is not a free agent unless the brewers don't take the club option of 11.5 million. It's a no brainier to take that, and if anything, flip him in July if things don't look good for the post season.

You think sterns wants a coach who is 7-12 in the playoffs and having not one more than a game since 2018? I don't. He's going to get someone with pedigree to win. Counsell may get interviews but he doesn't get it and he'll be back in Milwaukee
