  1. Now that he has mastered the bloop single, Gomez should be bat flippin' after hitting them.
  2. His .221/.300/.433 in 240 AB and poor defense last year speaks a lot louder to me than anything he's done in Spring/AAA this year.
  3. I was pleasantly surprised to see Segura moved down in the lineup last night. It seems like RR normally waits way too long to adjust the lineup when needed. While it is a "small sample size," I think that move definitely needed to be made. I fully expect Segura will come around, but for the time being, he should not be our 2 hitter. In regards to the aggressiveness on the base paths, I am all for it, but as most would agree, it's getting a little out of hand now and we need to be smarter out there. RR needs to get through to the guys that dumb outs on the base paths are unacceptable.
  4. That was a smart play by Segura (assuming that is what you were referring to). With 2 outs, try to make them go after you rather than a rountine throw to first.
  5. Yep, this is really hard to watch. Ramirez and Reynolds run into each other and the ball drops. Maldy's throw to second goes into centerfield. Gomez bobbles a ball to allow runners to advance. Segura drops relay throw that would have gotten a runner out. Gennett had a bad throw to first (out still made). So far Davis and Braun are the defensive MVPs by catching routine flyballs.
  6. I too thought it'd be lame but ended up liking it...I wonder if they were waiting for a good time to release this video. If we were 2-6 right now and they released this, would we all be like "Wow, that is dumb. Shouldn't the players be focusing on winning rather than being in a lame video?" ?
  7. Now I'm confused. Are you cheering for Ryan Joseph Braun or Ryan Joseph Gennett?!
  8. A little late on this but reading RRR's lips while "arguing" with the 2b ump, "I couldn't tell. It's so far away I can't really tell." Also had a pretty big grin on his face...Close call, could have gone either way, but I though Ramirez just got his foot in there.
  9. Okay, Henderson walks 3 guys in the inning. He obviously doesn't have it tonight. Why will RRR not take him out immediately?! Make that 4 walks...
  10. Well, it was a double steal with Gomez going to third. It secured Gomez to third safely, but there were no outs with runners on first and second. I'd take that over one out and a runner at third.
  11. Having Ramirez try to steal second there? Very questionable. It's pretty much a guaranteed out.
  12. I'd be careful, I think Jon Gruden has exclusive rights to using this phrase.
  13. That is good, but Brewers pitchers only gave up 41 hits to the Rockies in our 3 game series with them.
  14. I remember when Yuni B used to do that...and then 2 years later he turned into the NL MVP.
  15. If you are talking about the play at the plate, it wasn't even close. Yep, I failed to blue that comment. I disagree, that call was very close. The ball definitely beat the runner, but the runner's hand very nearly touched the plate before the tag. I do believe the correct call was made, however.
  16. How did Lucroy steal second? Ball get away from catcher or something?
  17. "And Segura bails out Rickie Weeks. This guy has incredible instincts, knowing that Weeks was going to struggle with that popup." Well said, BA.
  18. Sweet, just got 2 hits and 2 runs from sub .200 hitters.
  19. That's at least the third time this year we have scored a run because an infielder decided not to get the force out at home...I'll take it.
