  1. Peralta had the biggest smile throughout his interview about being called up. Good for him, obviously hope he does well.
  2. I am not so sure that should be in blue. He should've froze until in went through. Yet he was moving forward when it was apparent it was going to be caught.
  3. I disagree. That was not a difficult play. And in that situation they are going to go for the out at third. Thames knows he is not fast and that was not smart base running. And I'm going to disagree with you. Swanson was going up the middle away from third base. Almost never is a SS going to make that throw to 3B when there's an easy out at 1B. That's fine. I think I would agree with you if it was a runner with decent speed, but Thames is not the quickest. And the SS knows that. Yes it was close, but I don't think that risk was worth taking there.

  5. Is it possible to stay in a game as a pitcher if a guy charges the mound at you (and you defend yourself)? I would not want this to happen, but it would have been kind of funny if Broxton charged the mound after getting hit on the second pitch of the game and the pitcher got ejected.
  6. Ball 3 should've definitely been strike 3. Ball 4 was not as close. But regardless, just cannot walk the pitcher there. Let's get some runs...
  7. Not a good decision by Reyes there...but I'll gladly take it.
  8. Bounced about 3 feet in front of the plate and then went through the strikezone haha.
  9. Good question. Did Feliz show a little excitement after striking him out or something?
  10. He could have easily thrown the ball away, too. His momentum was taking him in, it would have been really close to stop, spin and throw to 2nd. Glad he just got the out. Along with all that it looked like to do that it would have been right in the baseline so he would have had to throw over the runner. Which is never a reliable throw to make. Not to mention not sure where Arcia was. He might have needed to hit Arcia on the run Maybe. I guess I would expect him to at least look at second. But I will cut him some slack as the ball did have some spin on it so had to focus on fielding it cleanly.
  11. How is that a smart play? He could've easily got the out at second.
  12. He has not been very clutch this year, but I would disagree with saying unclutch his whole career. http://espn.go.com/blog/sweetspot/post/_/id/49230/jonathan-lucroy-talks-clutch-hitting
  13. Take it from a guy that goes through this anguish several times every year....Yes. haha yeah but then oftentimes you are rewarded by your team winning the World Series.
  14. Sweet!! Overbay's pick on K-Rod's throw in the dirt was just as big as his hit.
  15. I think it is up to the player and typically if there are 2 players of the same name, they would want to put the initial to distinguish themselves. Carlos probably wishes Hector put the "H." on his jersey haha
  16. I can only speak for myself, but after what we have seen lately (losing streak + demoralizing loss on Tuesday), it seems like we are past the nerve wrecking point and more at a deflated point where the games almost feel meaningless. We are by all means in the playoff race, but it just feels different since we give up so much ground so quickly. But I'm still hopeful we can get hot and games will feel exciting again.
  17. Obviously Lucroy is awesome and everything, but it seems like he is nonchalant at times when throwing to get a runner out. I'm not talking about when runners are attempting to steal, but more like what we just saw on that pickoff play from first. It was an easy out, but he took his time and the runner was safe. I've noticed he does this at catcher after a dropped third strike that gets away slightly. He will go get the ball but then take his time before throwing, leading to a close play at first (when it shouldn't be). I guess I just find it odd since the rest of his game is so sound and he is such a smart player.
  18. Weeks probably should have taken off for home but perhaps he was not assuming a DP would occur. So it'd would be 1st and 3rd (or 2nd and 3rd) with one out, rather than 1st and 2nd with one out. As it turned out, a DP did happen, so he looks bad. Tough situation so I can't be too mad at him...and now he hit a home run!
  19. I would not trust Wang in the 7th even with a 5 run lead. If he gives up 2-3 runs, it's a tight ballgame again with still a lot of game left.
