  1. I find it hilarious yet totally on par with your posts that you say "yeah hindsight is 20/20" and follow it u with "Knew 100% he'd k. Do you realize how that sounds? Don't care...If you actually thought Pablo Reyes was going to do anything positive there than I want some of what you're smoking. The ending was inevitable. Could have gotten the same AB from a Pitcher. There is always fantasy football for you.
  2. I wouldn’t hold my breath, after the results of the past 2 seasons.
  3. Everyone on brewerfan.net board will need to deal with it. Including you,
  4. Maybe he should try and fix it when we are in the middle of a NL pennant race. The idea is to be proactive rather than retrospective, if you can possibly get out from under the disaster of this extension.
  5. It's too late. He's going to be here a long time, for better or worse. I'm trying not to totally concede yet that the Yelich contract is going to be an albatross, but we're 2 seasons removed from the ink drying on it now. It doesn't look promising. Yelich is still under 30 and he has been not-great-but-fine this season. He's been worth $10 million so far by fWAR in an injury-shortened season. Huge difference between "overpaid" and "albatross." Yeah, but his 9 year extension is worth $23 million per.

I'm trying not to totally concede yet that the Yelich contract is going to be an albatross, but we're 2 seasons removed from the ink drying on it now. It doesn't look promising. Yelich’s OBP and SLG are almost equivalent, and both are < 0.400.
  7. Yelich is literally the anti-Chris Davis good OBP but absolutely no power and no HRs.
  8. I can always count on you providing a comment with great insight. There is already a Yelich thread that has been going all season long and another started to see if Yelich was the next Chris Davis. You post frequent enough the last few months you had to of seen one of these threads before. You are providing information that has been beat to death for an almost full two seasons. If you need great insight on this topic there are already lengthy threads with all the data in the universe. viewtopic.php?f=63&t=40578 viewtopic.php?f=63&t=40919 So what is your Yelich opinion?

  10. After over 400 plate appearances in 2021 we have our $219,000,000 man and number 3 hitter with a 0.249 BA, 45 RBIs, and most alarming a 0.374 SLG %. Sure he has a decent .0360 OBP, good for 30th in the MLB if he had a qualifying number of PAs. After over 650 PAs since he broke his kneecap this salary promises to be a huge burden to the franchise for almost the next decade . With only an above average OBP he isn’t even worth half that salary. The real question is this what we can expect the future Yelich to be? If the Brewers are anything it is patient with Council, Shaw, and Hiura slumps recently. Will it be too late for the Brewers to get any fair trade compensation for him or will it be impossible to dump that huge salary?
  11. This is getting ridiculous. Yelich is batting 0.220 with 4 RBIs and a 0.529 OPS in the last 15 games. Obviously there is something seriously wrong with him. Is it physically or in his head? If there is absolutely any way we could dump his salary, I would seriously consider it if I was Stearn. I hope we don’t wait around like we did with Hiura.
  12. Nothing more than that? You must have missed the first half. The defense was horrendous. 7-8 yards on almost every run. Receivers running open in the middle of the field, with our bend and break zone defense. With 2 scoring drives > 7 minutes each, they were the ones who put the offensive in a hole following the first quarter. It didn’t help with a rusty and desperate Rodgers and a weak Offensive line. It was over after the 2 INTs. The defense never seems to improve in any season. Need new scouts or a new GM/ President.
  13. What really gets me is that they continually draft defensive players high every single year, but they can’t recognize D talent. The D-line has sucked for years, but they never pay much attention to it with their high draft picks. Maybe they should consult with the Ravens, 49ers or Bills scouting staffs next year.
