  1. wow, Yost with the quick hook. Spurling can keep going all the way back to Nashville for all I care.
  2. yay, I got my "wish"! And then JJ!!!!!!!!
  3. I agree, although, at this point, I'd take a weak ground out as it would likely plate a run.
  4. same question, with TGJ. I'd take a hit from our .429 hitter (small sample alert)
  5. is the "contact" play on here, with Jenks at third?
  6. now that's the Carlos Lee defense we have grown to love. LET'S SCORE!!!
  7. well, there's a start. Let's go Gross!
  8. well, the beer is flowing at my house but Cappy sure ain't looking spectacular. Quite mediocre, I'd say. Surprised it's only 1-0. Maybe I need to post in the drunk thread.
  9. I would venture a guess that both teams at some point in this series will get a handful of cheap homers into the Crawford Boxes. I swear, it looks like a little league field at times. Right field appears darn shallow, too. I'm super excited about the game, though. I've got a case of beer chillin', my wife will be at an evening class, and I've got the whole house to myself to watch the Crew. Hope it's not a super stinker. (the game, that is, not me!)
  10. I wouldn't say "100%" for the chance of victory with a tired Houston bullpen, but I'd agree that it's up there over 50%. Our odds would be significanly increased. I get your drift, however. This sucks with no game today.
  11. yup, just in the last two days. Very slow to load at times and then lightning quick as normal at other times.
  12. I'll have to read the game thread at home later this evening. I see on the major league forum that Sheets strained his groin. Ouch. Hopefully not too serious. Sure was a bummer teaching and then at the end of each class checking the Gametracker to give me an update and seeing things go south. Two out of three aint bad, though, and at least we're still in first!
  13. somebody has to fill the role of Brady Clark on the basepaths.
  14. Two things about Turnbow I noticed tonight and don't know if he's done it all year: 1. His hat was crooked at one point, ala some players that wear it crooked on purpose. 2. When he's in his stretch facing the plate, just before throwing the pitch, his upper torso seems to be facing the plate more. I noticed you could see his back and his name/uni number on tv. Hadn't noticed this before. Has he changed something in his mechanics?
  15. GAME SET MATCH! (for tonight, anyway!)
  16. how about one pitch. That'd be nice. nuts
  17. unfortunately, not much you can do about Mench playing on the slop. Is he a mudder? Coco is in
  18. hey, the Cub fans still there with the Bronx cheer for Eyre
  19. bases juiced? for Prince? for real? AWESOME
