  1. Nice job by Adams! btw, this is kind of fun doing the game thread. Can you tell my Brewer Fan wife (who usually b.s.'s my way through the games with me) is gone for the weekend?
  2. Has anybody else notice how Jim Powell is ripping on the Marlin's official scorer? It's kind of funny at times
  3. sorry, but I'll take a 4-0 lead in the 8th over a 4-4 "exciting" game any day when it comes to the Brewers
  4. that concrete story is hilarious Ben 1-2-3 YAY!
  5. looks good 3 pitches 3 strikes one out
  6. Good job by Sheets that inning. Taking it into his own hands and not letting Helms screw it up.
  7. Obermueller seemed to pitch okay and keep games relatively close for innings 1-5. it was that 6th inning that he couldn't get through. As for Hendrickson, he hasn't yet survived the first couple of frames unscathed in any of his 3 starts. The way the offense was going in this game (3 hits off of Redding?!?!?!?), I think he had to make a change before things got too out of hand.
  8. Wow, Back to back multi-homer games!
  9. by the way, As a D-back Fan also (sorry), Brandon Webb's disappointing season is because of two things: 1) Offense stinks (sounds familiar) 2) too many walks issued Otherwise, batting average allowed is excellent.
  10. RoCoBrewerfan is right about alot of things. But even though I was someone who earlier this week kind of started this "happy with .500" stuff, a lot of us have to start becoming realists. It seems that many feel that these games are as big as the World Series. Well, they're not. It's game 96 (or whatever it is). Alot of ball left to play. This is a very tough part of the schedule and it's showing how good a team the Brewers really are (aka Not very good). We all knew coming into July that this month would show if we are good, bad, or just average. But things have to improve--how can they get any worse? I think the Brewers can easily go .500 or better the rest of the way. And the offense WILL come around. Perhaps playing in Houston Metropolitan Little League Field will help.
  11. I like it. Helms maybe needs this to give him some confidence. Lyle needs this to get his head screwed on straight. Too bad Yost didn't bump Jenkins to 6th though.
  12. um . . . I actually hope Sheets DOESN'T pitch 13 innings of shutout ball. Because that means the BREWERS aren't scoring either!
  13. Maybe a way to get the Brewers to pull together and start smokin' the ball would be to pull out a card board cutout of Wendy and have Yost tell his club, "Every time we win, we peel a section!" Wait a minute, EEEEW! Maybe he'd need to say, "every time we lose, we peel a section". That'd REALLY get the Crew to start smokin' the ball! (sorry, long day of work as we just started school today--yes I'm a teacher, and not a student! )
  14. The Brewers should be able to garner a split this series, especially with Sheets going tomorrow. And Santos, who knows, maybe he'll keep up his masterful road/night performance. Score some runs and I think a sweep could be in order.
