SeriesFinale those emails were fantastic. When I first read the article after checking the Brewers JS Blog this AM I was searching for Bernie's email address and couldn't find it so I could rip into him as well. Where did you find it? Also TH hit the nail on the head, I know I'm one of the few who enjoys Tom's work but I'm glad we can all agree his blog post on this subject was great. I never thought I could actually hate the Cardinals as much as the Cubs. But I do now. -

Third Base options for the rest of 2008

I'm concerned about 3B, but not as much as I am about 2B if Durham doesn't get some more starts. It would be sweet to see Gamel get the call up and actually get some starts against RHP. And I totally agree with pulling him late for Counsell. -
Look I get it. There are a lot of people on this board who believe Rickie's "potential" will finally show someday. And you know what, it might. And if it does I will be the first to say I was wrong. But I just don't see it. He strikes out to much, has a low OBP and BA for a leadoff hitter or any hitter for that matter and his defense is very sketchy. Especially his double play turns. I would much rather see Durham for the rest of this year and find a new solution for years to come.

So you are mad that Weeks K'd on nearly the exact same pitch that Braun did later on. Does this means Braun sucks now? That was a good pitch by the pitcher all Weeks and Braun could have done with those pitches were foul them off. If they looked at them the outcome would have been the same it was a strike. No it does not mean Braun sucks. I'm just sick of Weeks period. And I'm sick of people using the "potential" and he has had injuries excuses for him performing well under his expectations and draft place. If you like him great, but he is bad hitting and on defense. I don't know what the answer is long term at 2B for the Brewers but I hope it's not Weeks. And for this season I would much rather see Durham play everyday.

If we were up big I would be all for McClung throwing a 95 MPH fastball into Pujols ribs. But not at 3-1.
