I think the steroid issue will leave a pretty lasting stain. I'm a record books guy, and the last 15 years still leave too much in question. I would agree with this. The steroid issue is the only real "black mark" I can put on Bub's record. But it was not just him, everyone was at fault for that.

It makes me very happy that for the first time in what seems like forever the Yankees will not be playing baseball in October. Go Sox and go Rays!

BAs are about the same. The OPS difference just means Hall hits the ball farther, esp. since Counsell walks at a better rate. This is true, I guess I would really just have Branyan but he's on the DL.

I guess I'd tend to view Hall's bat being as much of a wet paper towel as Weeks' & Counsell's. Counsell 2008 OPS: 640 Hall 2008 OPS: 717 Neither's is all that good, but Hall's is better and he just has more pop. I'd rather take my chances with Hall. that's just me though.

I'm not worried about Nix, was only up to add an extra OF for a few days. I'm much more concerned with Weeks and Counsell's wet paper towel bats taking away AB's from Durham and Hall/Branyan. Now I know Russ is on the DL but Counsell was getting most of the PT before that anyway.

I don't know, I don't want to debate the whole Prince's weight issues. But as I said before, I turned on the TV and it was crazy how much more thin he looked about a year and a half ago. Much, much more slim.

i think a bobblehead dedicated to a "brewer fan" would be a nice touch. Hell yes! The Doorman. Also, why not Mark Attanasio? They made that one that was only given to Brewers employees, why not one for all the fans who adore what he has done for our team?

Yes please. I would hope if they do a "classic" player for 2009 they do Cirillo or Rob Deer. As for current players Gallardo seems almost a lock as well as another Braun. Other then that I have no clue. Possibly Kendall, maybe if Torres is still the closer. And I also agree a Bud Selig or Jim Powell would be kind of cool.

They should do a CC bobble that you can get at Sentry's when you buy a certain product. They did that before for mini bobbles. They should do it again.

For some reason I have confidence in Bush tonight. I feel he will be the stopper.

Why is an Affliction tee mockable? They are ugly as sin (says the guy who know nothing about fashion). I guess to each his own, I think they look pretty sharp. I own a few.

Yup, I totally noticed it. I happen to turn on the TV in my office to play Xbox and it was on FSN and the first thing I saw was Prince batting and I thought wow, he looked A LOT thinner back then. I mean much more lean. I can't believe he could have put on that much weight.

I tip 15% on everything. Delivery or when I eat at a restaurant. And I always round up. As for Bartenders, I usually tip $1 every 2 drinks. Sometimes every drink, depends how much I bring to the bar with me.

Why is an Affliction tee mockable?

Anyone know why I can't find the NFL Greats team for the regular Xbox version?
  16. BrewCrewForever
I got it for the original Xbox tonight. I can't seem to find this "NFL Greats" roster to transfer Favre into the free agents to make him a Jet? Anyone help me out?

The game is as popular now as ever. That alone says a lot for what Bud has done. He is a little dorky and goofy but has done a good job. He has been great for Milwaukee baseball of course bringing it back in 1970. The only mistake he made was letting his daughter run the team into the ground farther then they were already. But he did make her sell the team to a good owner like Attanasio so that is cool. I also like the fact that he is bringing replay in on HR/Fair/Foul calls.

Is anyone else sick of Rock raving about how Prince can keep the inside pitches fair? Sheesh... Honestly, I'm sick of Rock period.
  19. BrewCrewForever
That is good news. I would hope and assume that Braun will be back for the first or second game of the Dodgers series.

Man, with 3TO on the DL were gonna see a lot of Counsell at 3B and batting 6th. Yuck. Every time CC takes the mound I feel like something special might and will happen. He has really spoiled us.

I will be getting it this week sometime. Now that I found out they actually made it for the regular Xbox. I have not jumped into 360 world yet and I just figured they quit making it for Xbox. But then I found it on Bestbuy.com. Only 39.99. Im getting it for sure.
  22. BrewCrewForever
Two questions. 1. Are the players more likely to sign before or after games by the players lot? 2. If it is a 1pm start, what time should I get to the players lot?
  23. BrewCrewForever
I will be more then happy just making the playoffs. But I think our team is good enough to go farther. But just tasting the October baseball will make me a very happy Brewers fan.

Stinks to see Branyan on the DL. But I like the Nix call up. Much better option then Gwynn. A lefty bat with some pop and not a wet paper towel for a bat. Plus Nix has been having a nice season in AAA.

Well no other good explanation for this kind of antics.
