  1. Maybe somewhere in the middle of those days, he represented himself better He was quite nice to me at On Deck as well as others I saw getting his autograph and getting a chance to say hello.
  2. That is a good point, maybe he doesn't realize that they won't grill him the way those cities media does.
  3. I second Braun going deep today. First lefty he faces this year and I smell crush.
  4. The Brewers had to cover for him a bit here because I think it's league policy to talk to reporters after the game. They claimed that nobody approached him fast enough before he left. I'm one of the biggest Gagne fans on this board, but even I don't by that and I think he should have stuck around. But as I have said all will be forgotten once he gets on a roll closing games.
  5. Maybe Pedro should just retire. His fastball was 86, still not as bad though as Zito's 84.
  6. That is true, but it is still pretty sweet.
  7. Link Saw this and wanted to share. Dual autograph of Gallardo and Rollie Fingers. I have never seen this card before and I seach for Yo rookies on a regular basis.
  8. Coco was supposed to be a washed up, retread closer when the Brewers traded for him, too - that turned out pretty well if you ask me. That is another good point I was thinking of. When we traded for CoCo, he had lost the closer job in Texas and people thought his better days were behind him. That was not the case at all. I do think it was in poor taste for Eric to not stick around to face reporters about the outing.
  9. As soon as I say the title of this thread I knew it was a April's Fool joke.
  10. firejomorgan.com and I actually really enjoy reading Alyssa Milano's blog.
  11. I already feel 100 times better about catcher this season then last with Kendall instead of Estrada. Although Kendall has no power at the plate he could hit around .270-.280 and have a good OBP. But his skills behind the plate are just great. He isn't the greatest catcher at throwing guys out, but will still throw out more then Estrada. But his ability to handle his staff and block pitches and just play heads up will be a huge factor for our team. I'm very happy to have him on the Brewers this season.
  12. I was wondering this as well. He has a good fastball, but his change and curve are his pitches that make that fastball even better. Most people feel his change is his best pitch. He needs to keep mixing the pitches, when he does that I think he will be fine.
  13. Me to, that would be cool. I dunno about leading the league, but I he will be fine and this will all be forgotten.
  14. I'm listening to Jim Rome right now and people are straight attacking Gagne through e-mails to Jim. Just really giving it to him. Sad.
  15. I pretty much agree with that. I'm just glad we won and you guys didn't get to fly that "W" flag in your avatar.
  16. Sheets, Torres, Mota and Riske all looked awesome. Gagne, at least bounced back after the HR. And it was only one game and we still won.
  17. I had wondered that. Has to be pretty good since they were only given to Brewers employees. I have seen both, very cool bobbles. Wish I had them both.
  18. I say we give Gagne the month of April. If he continues to blow more saves during April in May you give the ball to Riske or Turnbow for saves. But I think Gagne will settle down and be fine.
  19. I still think he will save 40+. Just had a bad day where he couldn't locate his fastball. He also seemed to shy away from his change and curve early in the inning, not sure why that is what makes Gagne so good is that awesome change. Although he blew it and gave up the 3 run bomb to Fukudome he did come back and get out of the inning which was a positive.
  20. As long as Gagne can get his location down he will be fine this season. If he continues to walk guys and then have to groove fastballs down the middle to get ahead he could be in trouble.
  21. zachlaka, that is awesome. I will have to keep an eye out for Gagne minor league bobbles.
  22. Perhaps Lilly will get so upset at throwing a bad pitch during the game he will throw his glove down like a little pouty kid like in the playoffs.
