Why do strikeouts matter for a leadoff hitter? Does he need to put the ball in play to move the pitcher over? No but he needs to take walks and get on base so the big guys can drive him in. I think right?

Weeks doesn't like batting leadoff and he is striking out a lot. I think we could use a leadoff hitter. Thank you, and Hart is not the answer there either.

But a we need Gwynn in the lead-off role. But its become an all out Gwynn vs Gross battle. Each guys does what they do. Thing is we have a lot of pretty good OF's and not enough places to play them. Its tough.

If Gross would have done that today instead of Gwynn, everyone would be demanding he go down to AAA. Yup I probably would. Im not gonna lie.

If Counsell got a HR there I dunno what I would have done. Buy a lottery ticket maybe? Come on now Ben its a small lead, but its a lead. Work with it please.

To his credit, that wasn't a bad AB, but you hate to see him go down looking after working a 10 pitch AB with 2 runners in scoring position. He does not have a hit today but has had 3 good AB's working counts.

I dunno, your more of an expert then me. If I was going Id try to buy an 8x10 at Jeffs or somewhere. Edit: If I couldnt get an 8x10 I would probably get one of my Brewer mini helmets signed. I have a Gwynn RC but I wouldnt get that signed. -

Although Gwynn is 0-2, he's worked counts, and looks good out there. This ump has a tight zone it seems however, as there have been several pitches I thought Benny should've gotten. Yeah both times up he worked counts. Also that first time up hit it pretty hard and deep sounded like what Ueck said.
