  1. Nice inning Mr. Sheets. Alright boys lets get him a lead!
  2. Im on board with Hall or Weeks in the 3 hole. And the other in the 5 hole.
  3. You could see Rickie and Hall both pulling off the ball last night. Yeah they were both swinging from their heels all night. I love Hall hes my favorite player, but he has been so inconsistant this season. Hell have a 3 hit and 2 hit game and then come back with a couple 0-fers. Im also hoping he gets his power back only 5 HR's so far this season.
  4. Creed really is great.
  5. Get a grip. Did you think this team wasn't going to go on a bad streak? Things will get better. When I said gloomy I meant everyones reactions to the losing my own included. So I want to go back to the best IGT of the year so far. I do have a grip.
  6. But Gross did keep a late rally going by getting HBP. If he does that 3 or 4 times today I would call that a success. Ha!
  7. Weeks a day off, no!! As others have posted, put him in the 6-7 hole. What can be the reasoning to playing Graffy? Ive been one of the many that is glad to see Weeks out of the lead-off spot today, but he should at least be in the lineup.
  8. jschris, that does actually make some sense. You could be on to something.
  9. My bold prediction. Gwynn bunts his way on 1st in the 1st. Then steals 2nd and Hardy hits him in. 1-0 Brewers and that will be the final score when Sheets tosses a complete game.
  10. I just wanted to post in this and remember how happy I was less then a month ago. Edit: Things have gotten gloomy, and this game was true sunshine. I hope we can get back to these kind of fun IGT.
  11. Yup I to was trying to look at the pictures.
  12. 18 K game a few years ago I always think about that game everytime Ben takes the mound. Like could today be the day he throws a game like that again. It was amazing. I actually somewhat like the idea of Hall in the 3 hole and Prince 4th. He would probably get good pitches to hit batting in front of Prince. Yes! TGJ at lead-off No! Gross in RF.
  13. My bold prediction: AJ is going to kill Tony. Son despises what father does, son kills father, son turns into father. It's Shakepeare, baby! That would awesome and just crazy! Do you think Tony may turn into an addict now because he can win at gambling while hi as a kite with some skank.
  14. Next year the 3 spot, with Fielder in the 4 and Hall in the 5. That works for me in 2008! Love it.
  15. a good number of people actually expect him to repeat that performance just about every time out. And that's just ridiculous. That is true. My only complaint with Ben is I hope to see his K#'s go up.
  16. My cousin recently had a baby with special needs and I have some friends who have siblings as well. So I totally agree that it is offensive. Many people often throw the word around as if it is not.
  17. Yeah really Ben has only had two bad starts. All his others have been pretty darn good. I hope today he can go 7 or 8 and keep Philly to 1 or 2 runs and hope we score more then that.
  18. 1. Tony Gwynn, Jr. - RF 2. Rickie Weeks - 2B 3. JJ Hardy - SS 4. Prince Fielder - 1B 5. Bill Hall - CF 6. Johnny Estrada - C 7. Geoff Jenkins / Kevin Mench - LF 8. Craig Counsell / Tony Graffanino (Ryan Braun when up) - 3B 9. Pitcher Right now this should be the lineup most days. Period. Probably will be close to this today except Hall and Weeks might have the day off according to what I read in the JS.
  19. And if Gwynn goes out and struggles I will be the first to admit that it was a mistake to play him almost everyday. But if he gets on base steals some bases and scores runs were in business. Sure it makes the OF situation even worse. But when Bruan is ready you can send Gross down and it wont be to bad.
  20. Paper towels with reduced sheet sizes. I was thinking the same thing when my fiancee recently picked up paper towels at the store. I go to use one yesterday and it is like half the size of a normal one? What is with that?
  21. I was at Jeff's today on Capitol Drive, they said that half of the tickets for the Hardy signing have already been sold which went on sale this morning, for what it's worth. Wow thats crazy. I probably would have gone, but I already have a Hardy auto.
  22. I still think Yost needs to really move everyone down one spot in the order. Its simple. Hardy and Fielder are your best run producers right now. They need to hit 3 and 4. Gwynn if in the lineup, which he should start being on a more regular basis should be 1 and Weeks 2. That way if Gwynn continues to get on like he has and Weeks starts something can you imagine the RBI totals for Prince and JJ? Also moving Billy to 5 could take some pressure off him to relax and he may start hitting. Anyone else on board with this? Then you can have Menchkins and or Estrada 6 and 7 with our rather unproductive 3B platoon still in the 8 spot.
  23. I say look closer at Mench and Hart, both slugging under .400 and neither with a HR this month. Toss in Graffanino's woeful slugging pct. of .253 and that's even more reason to get Braun healthy and in the Milwaukee lineup. Yeah I agree with that. I think Gwynn has produced more then any of the guys they have stuck in RF as of late so he needs to play until he cools down. Although Weeks and Hall are both struggling at least Hall will get a 2 or 3 hit game and get his average up around .280 but then he will have two 0-Fers. Need more consistency. Weeks can't seem to avoid K's and pop outs.
  24. 4 thing for this game. 1. Tony Gwynn Jr. better be batting lead-off. 2. Ben Sheets better pitch like an ace today and stop this bleeding. 3. Please God, let us win. Were the good guys here. 4. Looks like Koskie hits Garcia pretty well. Crap! Were stuck with Graffy and Counsell.
  25. Well I feel I have made enough negative posts for one night. I feel bad about that buts its been a frustrating few games here. Ah hell Sheets can get em tomorrow. Hes our ace, and we need an ace like perfromance tomorrow. Goodnight all.
