  1. It's going to suck when Davis comes back if he and Wolf continue to get hit around and a guy like Narveson or Parra are in the pen and someone in the pen is off the team or in AAA.
  2. No doubt, Narveson has pitched great but seems out of gas. And I would hate to see Hoffman come in and blow this game. Give the 9th to Axford.
  3. Wow, no runs out of all that. Not cool, hopefully that does not come back to bite us in the butt.
  4. Man, too many times this season Fielder and Braun have come up with men in scoring position and not come through. So frustrating.
  5. True, my hope is Gamel improves his throws since he clearly has the range. McGehee shouldn't be any worse then Fielder is at 1B. Lawrie seems to be a good enough athlete to quickly learn the OF.
  6. Weeks raking today. Been on fire since that long slump he went in.
  7. What do you think about this for an opening day lineup in 2012? Would you change the order? Do you have different players in mind? With the way things are going I would like to think that Weeks will be extended moving Lawrie to the OF and Fielder traded for some pitching so McGehee moves to 1B and Gamel sticks at 3B. 1. Lorenzo Cain - CF 2. Rickie Weeks - 2B 3. Ryan Braun - LF 4. Mat Gamel - 3B 5. Casey McGehee - 1B 6. Brett Lawrie -RF 7. Jonathan Lucroy - C 8. Alcides Escobar - SS 9. Yovani Gallardo - P
  8. Loving me some Lucroy. He just has such a good approach at the plate, which is a little surprising for his age.
  9. Anyone else find it weird that Braun seems to be hitting for less power? Only 10 HR's and he only seems to hit 1 every couple of weeks.
  10. Yeah, I know. But contracts asisde, I think I would rather have Narveson in our rotation than Wolf. JMO.
  11. Wolf stinks. Probably our worst starting pitcher. It's a shame Narveson or Parra will be out when Davis comes back and Wolf will stay in.
  12. I just love seeing this stuff happen to the Cubs. It makes my day.
  13. 149 pitches, wow. That is a lot of pitches. But that will happen I guess when you walk 8 hitters.
  14. He went through a little slump and does strike out a fair amount. But I still think they should extend him. He has had a very solid year so far. Maybe when and if they do extend Weeks, Lawrie goes to the OF.
  15. A sweep today would make me very happy. I'm still holding out hope for a 7-2 home stand. A win today would go a long way in getting that done.
  16. Okay Axford with 2 innings yesterday and on again today for 1. I assume he will for sure be unavailable tomorrow.
  17. Or if he is not going to just take 1B, he needs to charge the mound. I agree, don't make a show. Take the base or take out the pitcher.
  18. Kameron Loe has been outstanding. He is listed at 6-8, but man he looks 7-0 to me. A Giant out there.
  19. Amen to that. He is not helping himself get that big deal he and Boras dream of. And he sure is heck is not helping the Brewers get good trade value for him. Awful defense and a pathetic 27 RBI.
  20. Well it all worked out. Guess I can't complain too much. Another good outing for Parra, what is that 4 in a row? He really seems to be turning a corner.
  21. I mean I like Braddock and got faith in him. But why pull Parra here? Let him get Thome. Parra has pitched well, I think he deserved the chance to complete 6 innings.
