  1. as much as i like estrada, it's time for him to go. the brewers have gotten the most they can out of him. he gave this team a couple of very good seasons. move him to the pen and call up nelson. you fix two things at once this way. estrada can go back to being the long man in the pen and wang can disappear. i'd look into making a trade for a reliever or two. some of the guys look tired already.
  2. Something isn't right with him. He hasn't looked comfortable all year at the plate. I really hope he recovers quickly from whatever is troubling him. this is why i've been suggesting some one like an alex gordon would be such a good idea. Braun will not stay healthy and isnt healthy. Ramirez ditto. Overbay is awful at first. A super utility left handed bat that is actually decent would be crazy valuable for this team Very good idea. Braun and Ramirez are always one bad sneeze away from injuring something. Bringing Gordon strengthens the lineup and allows you to rest guys like Braun and Ramirez.
  3. Something isn't right with him. He hasn't looked comfortable all year at the plate. I really hope he recovers quickly from whatever is troubling him.
  4. I don't understand this team. They take 2 out of 3 in St. Louis without Braun in the lineup, yet they can't beat the Twins at full strength? There's no reason why the Brewers shouldn't have taken at least 3 out of 4. I hope this series won't be the one that we look back on and say that it was the one that killed the season. Cardinals are playing poorly at the moment. Brewers need to take advantage of this and continue to build the lead. Can't be dropping games to bad teams.
  5. Wow did that suck. Two on with no outs and the team's 3 best hitters bring in just 1. Perkins was wild as heck too. Missed opportunity to take advantage of the Cardinals loss.
  6. hey ump might want to get your eyes checked. that 1st pitch to luc was pretty high and inside if you ask me
  7. I'd pick it up. I expect them to be a serious contender again next year if the roster stays mostly the same.
  8. For as great of a hitter as Braun is, his one flaw is that he doesn't walk at the really high rate that some other elite hitters do. For whatever reason, he just swings at more pitches out of the strike zone than a guy of his skill level should given the fear he instills in many pitchers. Braun's always been impatient. A great hitter like him doesn't need to have such an aggressive approach. He often swings a junk pitches. His walk numbers should be a lot higher.
  9. Come on. The Twins are by no means great, but they aren't horrible either with a 26-29 record. compared to the Brewers they are absolutely terrible. They have benefited from playing in a mediocre division. I expect them to lose 94+ games this year. An embarrassing night for the Brewers.
  10. What a disappointing game. No reason why the Brewers should ever be losing to a horrible team like the Twins
  11. hey guys it'd be nice if you'd give willy some run support for once. you've left him out to dry several times this year. don't make willy this year's kyle lohse.
  12. No hate, just concern. He doesn't look comfortable at all. You have to wonder if more damage is being done by having him play. This year already he's had thumb and oblique injuries. It seems like there's always an injury nagging Braun dating back to last season. If he needs to rest then rest him.
  13. I feel the concern here too...but it's hard to tell. I just don't think he's healthy watching his swings. WOW!!!! Lucky break on the double clutch!!! Now let's go home winners! Right now Braun is an expensive decoy. His swings look so unnatural. If I'm Melvin I tell him that he needs to make a decision once and for all on the thumb. It's not fair to the Brewers to pay him all that money if he's going to play like this.
  14. Captain groundout Braun. I'm officially worried he'll never be the same. Come on Luc!!
