  1. The sky was falling last year too when Chacin started slow his first few games. It was the worst signing ever, lol. That’s the emotion of sports with high expectations. We split with Mikolas and Flaherty, and now give the ball to Woodruff and Burnes. That’s a win in my book. We’ll see how it plays out, but if we go .500 this year in games Mikolas and Flaherty start against us I think we’ll be in good shape.
  2. Who do you want Gamel to start over? Braun needs a lot of time off. I would bet Gamel starts half the year as such On day 2 though?
  3. That’s not a swing! Man, seems like everything remotely close getting called their way.
  4. Your reception must be bad, looks plenty big on my screen, lol
  5. Didn’t think it was odd to start the inning, but after the pitcher reached I wouldn’t have let him pitch to Carpenter.
  6. Just seem calmer when we suck. Only the diehards hang around in crappy years and those people usually just want to talk baseball.
  7. Real pitching coach? Pretty early in the year to be on the pitching coach. Especially since he played a role in these young guys getting here.
  8. Weird run through by Cain. I think if he gives up on catching it and plays it off the wall he keeps Ozuna from scoring. For sure a few red flags early... Freddy’s control and Moose ability to turn a dp... going to be a work in progress with the young arms and new position.
  9. Yeah, this seems like a game where we need some patient AB's and try to get his pitch count up early on. He's probably only throwing 90 or so pitches in this start. The sooner we can get into their pen tonight the better. Cards rotation looks tough on paper, but we got to Mikolas yesterday, lets do it again tonight vs Flaherty.
  10. Didn’t get to see it live, but caught pieces on the radio. Great way to start the season, and this IGT is classic. You guys are in mid-season form.
  11. I might be a little naive but no one in the east really scares me except Philly. Fully healthy I would agree, but missing some pieces you just never know. Maybe just lack of success from the Bucks in the playoffs in my life span, but I just am preparing for a disappointment come post-season.
  12. First round match up will be interesting to watch play out over the end of the regular season. Right now they would have Orlando, who I think is a much worse match up than either Detroit or Miami. The Magic are quite a bit improved talent wise over the first half version.
  13. Bucks bet didn't age well.... so hopefully this one won't either. I'm taking the Cards on opening day as slight underdogs. Even in Milwaukee I would take Mikolas over Chacin, especially getting plus money with the Cards being the underdog.
  14. Stearns has the right to make an incredibly vague statement that could mean almost anything... needs a closer that can be counted on - No they don't. They need quality pitchers that can get outs no matter what the situation. I really thought baseball was going to evolve beyond the "set closer in the 9th" mentality. Dishing out crazy sums of money for guys deemed to be a "closer" has probably led to more bad contracts in baseball than any other position.
