  1. Yep, just talked to an old college friend who’s son entered the portal yesterday. He had to wait for his last installment of NIL money from this past year. If they enter the portal before the 15th they don’t get their last check.
  2. I watched very little college sports last year, and will probably watch even less this year. Hard to keep rooting for a new team every year, only to watch those kids leave the next year. I totally get it from the kids perspective, I would chase the money too, but sure makes it hard to be a fan.
  3. No issues with the AB from Ortiz. Took him to a full count and just missed one and popped up. The result sucked but not a bad AB.
  4. Nice quick inning by Rea. Put Burnes back out on the mound quickly after he had a long inning.
  5. Hope I’m wrong but this has the feeling of a blowout. Burnes will settle in and Rea looks like he’s going to struggle with this Baltimore lineup.
  6. Just need 7 to keep the streak alive. I’d still probably take the under unless we get to their bullpen later on.
  7. He’s not a FA until 2028 when he’s 30. No need to throw money at him now. A lot can happen to a catcher in 4 years and they’re usually pretty beat up by 30 years old.
  8. Get someone up in the pen while this one’s still in reach
  9. Defense has been a huge part of the early success. When Santander couldn’t come up with that play last inning I literally thought that every one of the Brewers OF’s would’ve made that play. Hall giving up dingers doesn’t play into the defensive philosophy very well….
  10. The groundout to Adames to tie the game was hit really hard and right at him, kind of surprised he didn’t take a shot at the runner at home.
  11. I forgot about the scratchy shoulder issue, the 47 pitches makes more sense considering that. Probably wise to ramp him up slowly especially with the early off days for the pen to rest.
  12. No need to get fresh arms up with 2 off days in the next 4 days coming up.
  13. Just like we said, some mix of Hudson, Hudson, and Hudson will cover the next 3 innings, lol. Heck of an outing from the big lefty!
  14. 2 innings yesterday. Maybe available but was guessing he gets the day off, although 26 pitches isn’t terribly high.
  15. Makes sense to stick with Hudson with a lefty up, I didn’t look ahead.
  16. Lol, yep. Assuming the guys who’ve thrown 2 innings have they day off.
  17. Guessing some mix of Vieira, Milner, and Payamps to get through the next 3 innings….
  18. Glad they tacked one on, but hope the missed chances don’t come back to haunt us.
  19. Feels like he threw 25 pitches after there were 2 outs. Glad they got out of the inning but that will shorten up his outing. Going to need the pen to be good today.
  20. Gonna need some innings from Rea tomorrow, couple pen guys probably unavailable tomorrow. Im not bitter about Counsel leaving but I do know we’re 1.5 up on the scrubs.
  21. Probably just want Perkins defense in a close game. Sal no slouch defensively but Perkins better.
  22. Slid a little late but held the base, play on and stop crying.
  23. I’m prepared for a slow start from Hoskins, probably going to be a little rusty with a full year off.
