  1. If you only look at the 5 INT in the box score. He’s also the reason they’re still in this game despite the TO’s. They aren’t running all over us. They’ll win with him more than they lose with him. He’s going to throw for 400 yards on a Big 10 defense. (Yes, a bad one, but still)
  2. Got back to some simple runs and play action this half. Looks a little better.
  3. Allen just had his first carry at 7:45 of the 2nd qtr. This offense just looks lost. The defense plays well in spurts, but are not generating QB pressures consistently. This looks like a below .500 team In conference right now.
  4. Mertz is going to get to air it out in the Florida offense. Threw it 44 times for 333. Those attempts and yards equaled 11 points and a QBR of 30 though.
  5. Years of control still affect trade value.
  6. Wiemer really should go down for a couple weeks to manage the service time. Might do him some good similar to Turang. Plus, even if he’s not great, he’s solid enough the extra year of control matters to a small market team.
  7. Eric Lauer making it back to give us some innings would also help. Saw he has pitched in AZ. Probably still a ways off if back at all this year.
  8. Scrolling through box scores I just saw the Phillies have Trea Turner batting 8th. If they can move him down you’d think CC would be able to drop Adames.
  9. Back spasms, elbow discomfort, or sore shoulder? Maybe the old oblique strain???
  10. TE’s Cundiff and Eschenbach both no longer with the team. Leaves the TE room pretty thin.
  11. Under .200 after the all-star break. No reason he’s still on the roster.
  12. I watched a video about it a while back. The computer tracks something like the past 1,000 swings for each player. It records the zone at the moment the bat crosses the plate, and takes the average zone from those swings. They did it that way to eliminate the zone being affected by a huge crouch preswing or something like that. They talked about players just called up with no data, but don’t remember exactly what the plan was. I think it might record during BP or something like that to get the initial data.
  13. TE Booker and DB Woodward both have de committed
  14. Hopefully he didn’t throw because the jumps were huge both times. If that’s by design that’s rough, it’s not little league, throw someone out. Really glad CC went outside of the box in that situation with Devin. Big for him to get out of that jam.
  15. Like the Eagles pick of McKee. He seems like a much better choice for a developmental QB. Has the arm strength and accuracy that tends to translate to the NFL better.
  16. What happens if the clock runs out on the last pick tonight? Seen rare occasions in the past the next team picks, but the next round doesn’t start till tomorrow. They wouldn’t let Pittsburgh pick, so what makes KC pick by the clock?
  17. I don’t hate the pick, but we keep loading up on defense in an offensive league… I also am glad we didn’t draft JSN. Something didn’t sit right with him skipping the playoff game. If you sit out the Cheetos bowl, so be it. But you chose not to play in a playoff game… just gave off a bad vibe.
  18. Yea, for as good as they’ve been in the offseason at adding quality relievers, they’ve swung and missed quite a bit at the deadline.
  19. Not sure why Payamps didn’t get another inning after throwing only 2 pitches.
  20. Brewers were pretty bad last year in games started by someone other than the normal top 5 starters. Think this year will be the same, especially early with Ashby and Houser out. The pitching depth is not great.
  21. Small sample size but Rowdy and Voit being really bad at the same time is an issue.
  22. Consistently working from behind will catch up with him sooner or later
  23. Middleton left the Bucks game tonight with knee soreness. Better be minor, Bucks don’t win a title without him. The good part is he has time, they don’t need him until the Eastern Conference Finals probably.
  24. I don’t know, but Anderson has pretty much earned his 3.5 for the year.
