    Their schedule is getting tougher but they have looked like world beaters on the MLB highlights. Bryant has magically returned to form (ahem) and the pitching is good. Guess we just gotta chip away at 'em

    At the plate he sure will be, and the kid is just as fast as Wong. But the kid was twice the baller that Carp was last year in every faze but the FO could not stomach the idea of sitting that HUGE salary for a league minimum player because of the optics. Now optics be damned. As noted Jerko is as good a hitter as the new 3rd baseman ESPECIALLY out of Coors Field and he has a sound shoulder! You don't trade the best glove in the NL just to lower salary

    Some of you guy don't get just how good Wong is. Not re-signing him seems insane to me. Best middle infielder I EVER SAW, RIGHT UP THERE WITH OZZIE SMITH Take a look at these plays that you will see every game, not once a week

    I moved to Phoenix this Feb. and now with the few sports shows on ESPN I have no idea what's going on in baseball I heard that Mookie Bettes went to the Dodgers and the Cards shipped out Ozuna and Wacha, but that's it! I no nothing else about our Division Please fill me in....BTW: Arizona was a bad (covid) choice

    The HOF is as messed as the present game. It took 30 some years for them to put my boy in??? With his numbers??? Now, Marvin Miller is a different thing. I'm conflicted on the whole free agent thing. It has hurt the game, but the former system was unfair. I can see why baseball blocked his induction, but all of those owners have died off. These new guys don't give a . Put in Marvin Miller, hell, put in Marvin Haggler. Just keep the cash flowin'

    Darvish is shut down for the year, so is Hendricks. Really? Surprising as Hendricks has been scuffling

    A lot of pundit conversation today on whether the Cubs will "lay down" or not. Well if Yu pitches the way he has this last month the Cards are in trouble. Personally I don't believe any ball club lays down...ever. The only wrinkle is who Maddon puts on the lineup card.

    What a weekend we're in for. What kind of Cub team will show up? What's the mindset of a fallen giant with a big shakeup eminent in the off season? What about the Rockies? A bad team but not awful at home. Will there even be a decent crowd at Coors? If the Brewers win today it's a 50-50 chance, in my mind they will end in a dead heat with Cards Sunday night.

    Last night was a miserable ordeal. Flaherty's no-no broken up in the 7th by the edge of the fake grass carpet, 48 total K's in a 19 inning snoozer that probably broke some kind of record. Shildt intentionally walks a guy to get to the only guy on either team that's hitting. The guy came in in the 9th and went 4 for 4. Another record! Now we got a day game on YOU TUBE and I don't what that's about!

    What are the implications if today's Cubs/Cards game is rained out? I mean is it possible that the Cubs could remain in standings limbo 'till the game is made up end of next week? Smoke's coming out of my ears trying to figure this out.
