  1. they are certainly not playing like a first place team the last 15 innings!
  2. So it looks like the Padres pitcher is someone we have not faced much. Someone tell me why I should not be concerned about this.
  3. Is there any way we could just have Fiers pitch all the time?
  4. was at the game tonight. It was fun once the Brewers finally started hitting. I think Braun has looked awful at the plate recently. But tonight he squared up pretty well three times. He only had one hit to show for it, but it was a big one.
  5. I understand that Estrada is not doing well tonight and I should say up front that I have not seen most of the game. But, our approach at the plate that I just witnessed is TERRIBLE. In the inning Braun, Aram, and Davis all struck out. Striking out is one thing but swinging at pitches WAY out of the zone is awful. I understand with 2 strikes you have to protect the plate but with anything less than two you don't have to swing at pitches as your ankles or your eyeballs. I have never seen a team beat itself as much as this year's team does. I realize that they are in first place but these games when they beat themselves will come back to bite them over time.
  6. I just started watching. What happened to Aram? What did he hurt?
  7. Aram 3-2 count. Why are you swinging at pitches out of the zone? Make them PITCH TO YOU!
  8. I'd feel better if Aram at least would swing at strikes. How about taking a pitch or two?
  9. I was at the game today. My first one of the year. Peralta gave up lots of hits but our problem was not pitching. The sad thing is that two of our hits were bunts. On a positive note Lucroy hit a couple of seeds that were just hit right at people. If those were a couple of feet to the right or left they are basehits and maybe even extra basehits. I am really concerned about Aram. He didn't play today but looks lost at the plate and not only lost but also disinterested. We need to find a way to score more or we will have trouble winning even 80 games.
