Hitting ok at Colorado Springs is hardly an indication that he has righted the ship. Everyone hits well there. Someone with Santana's skillset should be ripping the cover off the ball there. He isn't doing that. He was arguably the best slugger/hitter for the whole season last season. I think the Brewers are over-reactionary on Santana and not giving him enough of the benefit of the doubt. They did the same thing with Scooter one season with us where he started a little slow. Santana is a stud. Broxton is comparably a dud. I just don't get it ... nothing personal with you, mind you.

Counsell has Jennings warming up instead of Hader ... why? Why not bring in a guy who has proven to be very capable as a shutdown guy. Why not give your offense a chance to come back from a 3-run deficit? Jennings gets nicked up far more than Hader. We cannot afford to give up any more runs at all! This is a major gripe I have with Counsell! Hader is over-rested, if anything!

Gausman is mixing speeds with very good velocity on his fastball. Throwing strikes consistently on the edges. The Brewers need somebody like him, certainly! He is a big contrast to Peralta tonight.
