  1. Those of us outside of Wisconsin have been paying extra to get Brewers games for a while now.
  2. We were one of those who didn't get Peacock for that one playoff game. We probably would have if it was for the Packers. We did get Prime but dropped it after the regular season was done. Ordering just Prime alone is a pain. For several years we got almost every Brewers game down here in FL via MFL Extra Innings for about $120 with Xfinity even before Bally. We figured it was worth it when you consider what it would cost to go to a game live. I sure hope we can do it again with Amazon. We purchased the NBA package for $80 for the Bucks.
  3. No, the reason this franchise will never win a World Series is this league's financial inequity. We can draft and develop until the cows come home but can't keep most of them long term.
  4. 47? He's just a kid. 😉
  5. You're right, he did look like he agonized over everything during the games and was very monotone during post game PCs hemming and hawing all the time. It will be interesting to see how Murphy is.
  6. Perhaps folks are wondering if Weeks isn't being groomed to be the manager down the road and this is what is making some nervous?
  7. If memory serves most here were excited/pleased with hiring CC back then. I was pretty ambivalent. He just seemed way to laid back to me (he still is IMO).
  8. I wanted a fresh face too. I thought a guy coming in from a successful operation elsewhere could jump start the team and add a new prospective and attitude to the place. Let's hope the guys respond to Murphy like they seemed to with CC.
  9. I don't think his clubhouse leadership is something to dismiss either.
  10. This tells me we are not looking outside the organization. IMO this is a mistake. I hope I'm wrong...
  11. I just threw up a little in my mouth...
  12. I really want MA to get someone from outside the organization. New blood and a fresh approach would do wonders for this team.
  13. Of course. But it was time to move on. Some of his managerial decisions over the years had left me scratching my head a lot.
  14. If this is true it sure makes CC look petty.
  15. Seeing how the end played out I don't believe CC really cared about any goodwill in the city or state.
  16. Why? Managing the team only to get swept in 2 games in the WC round at home?
  17. Favre went to MN because he felt betrayed after GB drafted Rodgers. We offered CC the chance to be the highest paid manager in baseball but got outbid by a franchise with deep pockets. No comparison IMO.
  18. I seriously believe a change in managers was overdue. I think CC took this team as far as he could. I hope we get someone from outside the organization from a winning culture.
  19. I don't think fans will boo him if he becomes the Mets' manager. It's not like he is dissing the Brewers or anything. He gave it his all. I may be in the minority but I believe it is time to move on. He was here for 8 years and I think he got as far as he possibly could with this franchise. A change at that position in Milwaukee might be just what this team needs.
  20. Yup, sometimes you hit 'em where they aren't and other times you hit 'em right at defenders.
  21. I'm almost afraid to google how many runners we left on base this year and/or how many double plays we hit into. Getting that big hit with RISP had been elusive to say the least.
  22. No. It is time. If any team was in desperate need of a new direction it is this one.
  23. I think it is time to move on from CC. He took this team about as far as he is capable of. We have some nice talent that a new manager can work with. Pitching is fine. We need someone who can fix our hitting woes. It is damn difficult to win when you can't score.
  24. Corbin was telling the truth. When you don't put your pitches where you want you're gonna get hit.
