  1. Geez. Looks like Lester could actually get through six. It didn't look like he'd make it past the third earlier. This isn't good.
  2. Love the replay of the Cubs' fans in the first couple rows yelling and showing the safe sign, even though Contreras never got closer than three feet from even touching home plate. And Williams just looks off. Got bailed out once this inning. Needs to bail himself out now. And, nope. He won't. 3-0.
  3. Still nothing. I don't like the way this is going. Pitt has had so many chances.
  4. Cervelli swings at ball four, and Bote makes a nice play to end the inning. Still 2-0.
  5. Lester seemed miffed he didn't get the call on that 3-2 pitch a couple inches off the corner. Please crush this guy, Pirates. Pretty please?
  6. Of course. Thanks, Marte! Those runs are on you. At least Lester looks hittable tonight, but the Pirates have to actually do something with it.
  7. That 1-2 pitch was a strike to Lester, but OK. I am surprised he wasn't bunting anyway. I guess they didn't want him to bunt into a DP?
  8. Back-to-back "hits". Never seen a center fielder just let it drop about three feet in front of him.
  9. Pirates make it 6-4. Looked like their guy swung at ball four before grounding out with the bases loaded, but ESPN could very well be incorrect. Either way, celebrate! Let's take care of what we can take care of, and that's sweeping Detroit. Keep the pedal to the metal
  10. OK. That didn't work. They struck out the side, man! I'm writing a strongly worded message next time. I probably won't even say, "Please"!
  11. Through seven. Please get some insurance runs. I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks! Your friend, Me
  12. Agreed. Clearly put his elbow out there, then pulled it back real quick like he was trying to avoid it.
  13. Oh, please don't let that awful play by Braun cost us a run or more. Let's go Burnes! Bail him out!
  14. C'mon, Orlando. Gotta lay off that. That started low and ended low. Night is over by Chacin. He gave them exactly what they needed. I kind of felt weirdly comfortable with him in there even though he was giving up hard contact, but I understand the move.
  15. I understand that the production crew likes to try and mix things up, but that to-the-right behind the batter angle is just annoying. I hate it. Just stick with what works. Edit: And they just did it a second time as I was posting this. Please stop. Stick to centerfield.
  16. Aguilar had 2-3 that I thought he usually would square up, but that's just how baseball goes sometimes, I suppose. Definitely disappointing not to score that inning, but Gant is looking hittable right now. Hopefully, that continues. And, hopefully, the Brewers take advantage.
