That strike call was a joke. This umpire has been all over the place all game (both for and against us) Yeah, that's gotta be insanely difficult for the hitters. I mean, if the ump is calling an inch or two off the plate, you can adapt a bit as long as he's doing it the full game. When he's calling it a strike one time, then a ball the next three, then a strike the next two, then no one knows what to do.

Was screaming and pointing. Too loud to hear anything. Braun was doing that. The coach was looking at the stopwatch.

It seemed like the 1B coach literally did nothing to help Yelich there, but you have to be aware. Rare mistake by Yeli. Braun was shouting, but he probably couldn't hear over the crowd noise.

Thanks, Rusin. I think Story gets to that. Anyway, how about that Yelich guy? All getting on base and scoring runs and hitting and stuff.

I don't really understand why the Rockies are running there, but I will take it.

    Yes! [sarcasm]Great tag by Baez![/sarcasm]
  7. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Oh, he is out. Get it right, guys!

No walks. Walks are bad. I really wanted him to spike a curve on 0-2, 1-2. Please get out of this!

I feel like it could just be me, but it seems like over this year all around baseball, I'm seeing hitters get really good 0-2 pitches. Like those two by Knebel (though the curve was nasty.)

Manny taking some abuse back there this AB.
  11. WinkelsasVsSoriano
I said, "No way," to myself when Arcia picked that. Luckily it was the catcher, but I think he gets even a medium fast guy. That was terrific.
  12. WinkelsasVsSoriano
I know Gio was up much earlier in the game (like in the second inning.) Was he just throwing some pitches to get normal work in, or is he going to pitching out of the bullpen?
  13. WinkelsasVsSoriano
I feel like the Brewers should really have 4-5 runs here today. Hopefully, the 'pen does its thing. And, maybe, Yelich hits a few more homers. That guy's been slacking lately. It's been innings!

[sarcasm]Gotta love that aerial coverage. Thanks, State Farm![/sarcasm]
  15. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Yes, someone please answer that after the series is over and the Brewers have won. Heh.
  16. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Good job, Burnes! Whew. This playoff thing seems kind of nerve-wracking. How very odd.
  17. WinkelsasVsSoriano
    HE DOES IT AGAIN! MVP!

Granderson may be saved for defense later. I would think Broxton would be the defensive sub.
  19. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Was that Windmill's fault or Braun's? I couldn't tell if he waved him in. Bad chance to take, in my opinion.
  20. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Huge DP after Dahl just overran the ball. Wow. I thought that was the inning for the Cubs.
  21. WinkelsasVsSoriano
My answer yesterday would have been the Cubs because I think it'd be amazing to beat them when it matters. After reading Cubs' fans tweets and other random crap about how much fun Wrigley Park North will be, their cockiness, and the fact they were completely overlooking the Rockies -- that kind of makes me want to see them get destroyed tonight. I don't think my heart could take a series with the Cubs. I at least respect the Rockies.

And I feel like the ESPN announcers were complaining that the HP ump wasn't giving Lester the close calls, but he was 100% correct on all of them until Story came up and he blew two in a row.
  23. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Lester's staredown on close pitches gets Story in an 0-2 count and he strikes out with a runner at third and one out. That strike zone changed in a hurry.
  24. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Untuck 'em! What a game! What a team!
  25. WinkelsasVsSoriano
Hader back in. Let's get it at, men!
