  1. Ahh, man, that first 1-2 pitch was a good one to hit. Now I do feel terrible about our chances.
  2. I'd rather have Schaefer not bunt, but if someone has to swing away I'd take Herrera. Or Reynolds (in that order.) That's assuming Scooter's out.
  3. I hate that slightly-to-the-left behind home plate camera view.
  4. I don't feel overly terrible about the Brewers chances...
  5. Those nuns looked angry. On another note, is Scooter able to PH tonight, or is he still on the shelf? Wouldn't mind seeing Lucroy PH for Maldonado and Scooter PH in the pitcher spot if available.
  6. On the plus side, there's still plenty of time. On the downside, I feel like the Brewers do more fence swinging when they're down a fairly good margin. Maybe it'll be different since they still have 8 innings to play with. Patience. Please?
  7. Whew. Call stands. Was that a manager challenge, or did they look at it themselves? I wasn't fully paying attention...
  8. With how this game has gone so far, I bet they overturn it, though it should definitely stand. Good play by Marco.
  9. It'd be a little less frustrating had they hit the ball hard, but they basically blooped Garza to death (the walks certainly didn't help, howwever.) I don't blame RRR for taking him out though. He was off the corners and already at 42 pitches.
  10. Really, really need to find a way to win this one. I don't see the bats having much success tomorrow. Feels like if they lose this one they'll get swept again.
  11. maybe the team was just over achieving and they are now coming back to earth I think they were definitely overachieving, but they're also nowhere near as bad as they've been in the past 10 games or so.
  12. This team seems to be pitching scared now. Nibbling and hoping the Cards will swing at junk.
  13. I wish the all-star break tomorrow. Would really like to see Nelson and Jeffries up. A utility guy would be great - are there any Jerry Hairson Jr.'s floating around?
  14. Yeah, it seems like he's always running out of the box when trying to bunt, then pushes it foul/too hard. I think the off-speed pitch helped him a bit, but hopefully he realizes he doesn't need a jump start. If he just stays back and makes an above average bunt, he's fast enough to beat that out.
  15. That felt like the inning to score a few. Don't see it happening now, but I haven't completely lost hope!
  16. The numbers aren't going to bear it out, but I think that was one of the better games I've seen Garza pitch with the Brewers.
  17. This has been a weirdly unlucky game. Most, if not all, of the Rockies hits have been bloops or weak grounders. And then you've got the injuries to Segura (looks like just leg cramps) and Gomez (hopefully nothing serious on the collision). On the plus side, the offense has done its job (hopefully they can tack on a couple more though.)
  18. Tough luck for Garza this inning so far. Now Tulo up with the bases loaded...
