  1. Well, he had strike two and the ump is giving Suppan the inside so he had to swing. LaRussa just ran himself out of an inning.
  2. Overbay was lucky. The pickoff had him beat. Please give El Caballo a chance please.
  3. Looked to me as if Edmonds left early. I'm not sure if they appealed or not. Yeah, another overthrow of the cutoff man. You expect more from Brady Clark.
  4. 3 spot for the Tribe in the 1st. Collar getting tighter for the Sox.
  5. The heck with the Packers. The refs are making a farce of the game anyway.
  6. Why is Jenkins even playing today? I forgot--the Holy Grail of .500.
  7. Santo's numbers are inflated by playing in a vastly superior offensive park relative to all other parks at the time except Fenway. Memorial Stadium was certainly a total pitcher's park.
  8. I agree with JP 100%. I despise the SAC bunt, unless that run will pretty much win you the game. I agree. It probably reduces expected value of total runs scored while increasing the expected value of scoring at least one run. In that case, it makes sense to use the bunt late in a close game.
  9. While I welcome Helling's contribution this year, I think you have to be realistic. I think we have better options than him. The 'Stros swang at a lot of high fastballs and popped them up.
  10. Helling is cowboying up! Man......he is putting himself in contention for the number 5 in '06. Woah there scoop. Let's not get nuts.
  11. Prince just saved a run. Helling has been awful fielding his position today. That's got to be it. Wise then Turnbow.
  12. One more runner and let's get out the hook. Eveland warming up.
  13. The squeeze worked followed by a Helling strikeout.
  14. Squeeze with Moeller? Props to me. I guessed it.
  15. billy is hot today The Astros announcers were highly critical that Hall dogged it on the bloop to center. He maybe could have got to 2nd if he was hustling.
  16. Hmm...sacrifice with our hottest hitter? I think JJ might have done that on his own.
  17. Helling through five. Can he finish out one or two more innings?
  18. Oswalt is unsettling down a little.
  19. Helling is asleep out there! Yikes.
  20. It looks like Oswalt is settling in a little. If we can get Helling through 5, maybe Wise can go 2 innings today since he was not used yesterday.
  21. Helling has an ERA under 3? What? I thought he sucked. Let's see where he is at the end of today's game.
  22. What in the world is Berkman thinking? Routine play for JJ really.
  23. Oswalt's fear of Prince cost him a run. Jenkins is having a bad series though. He should at least have made contact.
  24. Congratulations to your 2005 Northern Division Champion Helena Brewers. Brandon Parillo shut the Mustangs down the last two innings.
  25. 7-4 after 7. 2 out run scoring single by Ned Yost and a dropped tag out at home by the Billings catcher.
