  1. I agree endaround. This was just another case when we couldn't get the big 2 out hit we needed. I'm not going to complain about Ohka. When you lose by one it's tough. You can go back and pick any situation to either find a run we should've had or a run we should've prevented. I think the Overbay/Lee strikeouts were the biggest missed opportunities.
  2. Not to rain on your friends' parade, but, his name is "Tomo". ...Brainerd would still wear the toga.
  3. Brainerd will be in a toga by the 3rd inning.
  4. Yeah, wait to keep drilling him about it, Bill. Hopefully Prince will take out his "Buckethead" frustration on the baseball tonight.
  5. Anyone know if there is any audio or running box score or gamecast type deal for the game at noon?
  6. Have to admit guys. Missed the last half of the game today (luckily, I guess) so I'm not as angry right now. I agree that it would have been nice to see Overbay hit at some point but you just can't hit for Miller there. First of all, Jenkins or Lee should have done something in the 1st inning. And Lee should have at LEAST moved Spivey to 3rd somehow in the 9th. I realize Miller is a double play candidate, but Overbay isn't? Let's say Overbay ties it up and we go extras. Then you have Chad Moeller in there to provide the big hit. Again, I realize Overbay could maybe win it with a gapper but so could Miller. Overbay isn't smoking hot right now either. Like I said, I didn't see it live so I'm not as upset about it. I think we just need to do a better job as a whole at getting runners on, over, and in. I think we handle the runners on pretty well. But the over and in part leaves a lot to be desired.
  7. I refused to post before the end of the game. Didn't want to jinx us. Great great game. Really didn't have a lot of confidence in us against Oswalt. Davis seemed to struggle quite a bit but didn't give up the big hit. I'm designated driving to the game with a bachelor party tomorrow so I'll be able to cheer them on in person. Good night all.
  8. Thanks for the stern talking to Square. I'll be back for more, obviously. We all love the Brewers. That's why we're here. It's almost like watching my daughter strike out to end a softball game and listening to the other parents whisper about how much she sucks. Would I be disappointed my daughter didn't hit a game winner? Sure. But I'd be the first one to hug her, tell her I'm proud of her and that I love her with all my heart. And to go kick some ass next game!
  9. There were so many reasons to hate this game, I don't even want to talk about it. I, along with Scoop, am just plain getting sick of this. Me and a bud at work were listening to the game, via headphones, and another coworker kept asking what the score was. The whole time he kept saying, "Don't worry, they'll lose." I've heard this from so many people the last few years it's sickening. And then, when they lose, they just start laughing. Anyone remember "Revenge of the Nerds" when the jocks destroyed the house and the "nerds" finally realize that they're "nerds". Until that point, they went blindly through life not realizing how "nerdy" they were. That's about the point I'm at right now. The Brewers have been losers for the last 12 years but I've followed them blindly, not caring what other people have said. Well, today's the day. I've realized that we're losers and we may well be losers forever. If only the huge guys from Lamda Lamda Lamda could help protect me.
  10. I heard on Fox 6 Saturday night that the xrays AND mri on Lee's hand were both negative. Not sure if this is the actual truth but that's what the sports guy said.
  11. I'm not understanding the "not free" part. I was a subscriber last year but not so far this year. I've been able to listen to all the games so far including non-brewer games as long as I log in with the same name/password as last year.
  12. To those who wanted Ned to bring Kolb in... When and why? I admit that I thought about it, but he's a one inning guy only. If he gets them out of it in the 8th he's not coming back out in the 9th and then we go through the same thing. It all started with the walks by Bennett and it was just too big of a hole to climb out of. You can pick out so many things. Not capitalizing on the scoring chances earlier, the walks, the 0-2 pitch to Guillen, Spivey's double play (he hit hit hard, it just went to the wrong place). I agree with not sending Bennett with 2 outs. You have Jenkins coming up with 2 guys on. I say we just chalk this one up as a crappy loss and move on. It does really hurt though. Hopefully they can come back this weekend.
  13. Anyone see this on the Fox Sports preview? Gary Bennett, C Brewers catcher Gary Bennett will start today and every day that Matt Kinney or Wes Obermueller pitch. Chad Moeller will start when Ben Sheets, Doug Davis, and Chris Capuano start. This limits Moeller's fantasy value. Bennett won't hit enough to have any. I thought Moeller was our starting catcher? I realize he wouldn't play most day games after night games and stuff like that but I thought the ratio of him playing would be more than 3 to 2?
