  1. Congrats for finishing that. It looks absolutely nuts.
  2. Just found out the Boot Camp is canceled this year due to lack of interest...I'm bummed...This was seriously the only time I see being able to afford this...Dang...
  3. Thanks for the advice guys. I'm sure it would be a blast. Just to be in uniform on the Miller Park field would be incredible. Couple more stupid questions: Can I take a camera? I could see myself taking a thousand pictures. The family would go watch the games as well. Do they ask what position you want to play? I was a catcher back in the day but I caught in a Home Talent alumni game last year and not sure I could go more than an inning or two behind the plate. I could play infield anywhere too I guess. I'm guessing the lower uniform number has something to do with how they pick teams or do drills? Don't need to tell me. Thanks again for the help. This is so much cash it would be a one time thing for me, and my daughter's old enough now (7) she would get a huge kick out of seeing me out there.
  4. Has anyone here done this? I'm not going to ask if it was worth the money because that's a lot of cash for a one-day event. I happen to make some money bowling this year and might give myself a father's day gift. Just wondering if it was an overall fun experience. Also...I'm in my forties and haven't played competitively in 10 years. Wondering what the talent level of the players and pitchers are... Thanks for any help.
  5. Going to game and tailgating for the first time in quite a while. Coming in from Madison area. Can we still get to preferred parking by taking the Mitchell exit to the left? If we don't have passes will there be preferred available? Plan on getting there by 12:15 or so. We had season tickets in the bad years when we had the place to ourselves. Little different now obviously. Thanks for any help. (edit: small font --1992)

  7. No, it's the original Nook. Getting at least responses via Netgear's online support. We'll see where it leads.
  8. Question for anyone who might help: I bought a Nook for my wife for xmas (the original, not color). The Nook sees my wireless network fine but I'm unable to download any ebooks. It'll just sit 'in queue' forever. I would think it's a Nook issue except for the fact that, from a different network in a different house using the same model of router (I installed both), the Nook is able to download fine. Because of this, Barnes and Noble support will not help, and, although I have a question out to Netgear, I don't think they will help either. All other devices on my network work fine (Wii, Macbook Pro, IPod). The Nook's IP shows as a connected device in my router settings so I have no idea what's wrong. I have security set to WPA + WPA2, which is what I've heard the Nook will work on. Both routers are setup the same from what I can tell. The only difference between the one that works and the one that doesn't is the one that works may be a newer version of the same model router. Router is a Netgear WNR2000 (v1) Thanks for any help. I've tried all the other Nook and Netgear boards.
  9. My 6 year old and I play Endless Ocean: Blue World a LOT. It's pretty low key and almost quietly eerie, but it does a good job simulating scuba diving and there are endless (pun intended) amounts of areas and sea creatures to discover.
  10. We'll be staying at a hotel, probably just for a night. Thinking about the Milwaukee Public museum, too. Definitely want to do the salon thing and then somewhere to eat. Want to do something that she wouldn't really do at home... Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
  11. Just went to Ryan Braun's Waterfront website. I didn't realize it was that 'high class'...We've also been to Miller park many times and she knows it's kinda my thing more than hers. Think we'll do discovery world for sure. Been to the zoo many times too but that's always a hit...
  12. I'm planning a father/daughter weekend and looking for things to do. She's 6. Thinking about maybe a Brewer game, Discovery World (people like it?), visit to Braun's restaurant. Been to the children's museum already. Thinking about maybe a salon where she can get her hair done (she won't let me touch it). Any suggestions? Thanks all...
  13. Yeah, thinking we'll avoid a car. As long as we can keep our daughter somehow entertained during the process waiting for a bus won't be a big deal. I've seen some decent 'off property' hotels with decent pricing but I'm just not sure how easy it'll be to get from the hotel to a Disney park without a car. We're still leaning toward stay at a Disney resort. Think we're willing to spend a little extra to have the total Disney experience.
  14. Thank you so much. Just in doing the little research I've done, I think staying in one of the Allstar resorts is what I'm thinking. I'm a AAA member so I'm going to talk to a rep about any deals we can get through them. I'll definitely have more questions the further we get into it. I see the end of March is a peak time so we might go earlier (Feb) or later in April (after Easter). We haven't even started talking dates yet.
  15. Hi, all... We're thinking about taking my 6 year old daughter to Disneyworld next March for her 7th birthday. We've never been there so I'm looking for some tips on where to stay and what parks to all visit. She's definitely into the Princess type stuff and not much for thrill rides. And she loves animals. Just looking generally at pricing staying at a Disney resort is more expensive. Not sure if it's worth it or not. A friend of mine suggested looking into condo rentals also. We may only go back one other time (around her teenage years so she do more of the rides and stuff) so I'd like to give her a good Disney experience. Thanks all.
  16. Not sure why I can't grasp this. I have Itunes purchases on my home Macbook and my work Mac. Is there a way I can 'synch' these 2 libraries? Or do I need to burn one library to disc and load it on the other? I know there's a Home Sharing feature but these computers are not connected. Just having trouble figuring out how to combine the items purchased on 2 different computers using the same account. Thanks all.
  17. My family and my wife's family are huge Badger fans. This made it all the more difficult when the Wisconsin/Michigan State Final Four game ended up being the same day as our wedding. The country club where we had the reception only had a few TVs in the bar area so we had the game audio piped into the reception area. This wasn't enough for my brother, my best man, who sat at the head table with his headphones on. It was pretty funny. It's actually something that we always bring up whenever anyone asks how long we've been married. As much as it sucked not being able to sit and watch that game, it was kind of a cool experience having all our family and friends in one room listening to it. I don't remember who the heck got them for us but someone got the whole wedding party Final Four Badger hats to wear at the reception. It was pretty awesome.
  18. Message sent. May be able to help if the deadline isn't tight.
  19. brewcrewman17 I have a Macbook Pro and I'm able to watch the instant streaming. My daughter watches 10 iCarly's a week. It's a newer Macbook with 10.6 loaded. Not sure if you have an older version or what but it works well for me.
  20. I think I remember him doing some damage in the WBC. I'll have to look. Worth a shot. Had 6 hits in 12 at bats in 2009 WBC.
  21. I did what DatHoser explained and just changed my Outlook settings on my PC. Seems to be working the way I want it to. Thanks. As far as what you other guys are saying, I also have a gmail account (with a different email address) but I wanted to make the change with my home email address. I imagine there's something you guys mean that I'm missing. I honestly don't understand the IMAP vs POP3 thing. I'm guessing you're saying I can route my ISP email account through a gmail account?
  22. DatHoser has explained the situation perfectly it seems. We had the PC first and just recently got the Mac and iPod. I have Outlook on the PC that I get email from. I just have the regular Mail program on my Mac. Can I change the settings in Outlook to leave the messages on the server so I can access them from anywhere? Even when go to my ISP website to get email, it shows no emails at all, even though I know I've gotten some recently. It seems the only way I see them this way is if I happen to get one during the time I'm logged on. Thanks for the help.
  23. I have... -a mac at work -a mac at home -a pc at home -an iPod at home I have one home email account that I can access from any computer, home or at work (via the web) and even on the iPod. It seems that when certain computers receive an email to that account, other computers can't see it. Does anybody know if there's a way all computers can view the same emails? Does anybody understand what I'm even talking about? I'm confusing myself.
  24. Finally, someone from the real world who knows about the place. I have a bunch of ???s. Did it help you get a job somewhere? Were you considered a novice before the training? I've been a Mac user daily for 15 years so this would be a switch. The vocational program they want to put me in has an "externship" where I'd be placed with a local business for 8 weeks. While this wouldn't necessarily get me in the door at that company I feel it would be good experience. Money wise I'm hoping my job center will at least help pay for some. I'd go elsewhere for any other loan. I just am not thrilled about going to a regular tech school like MATC, even though it would be a cheaper option. I'm also interested about what your starting pay was coming out and what IT specialty you're in. Pleas PM if you can, Jimbo. Thanks so much.
  25. Anyone ever had or know someone who took courses thru "Techskills, LLC"? They offer various IT programs and certification exams.
