No, not every player does that...actually the first time I have ever seen a player voluntarily hurdle a baseball when he could have waited and jogged to the next base.
With two outs? I have never seen a runner wait on first in my life. With two outs, yeah, many times especially on second base and they can't score. Better than letting the ball hit you, that is for sure.
Aren't you supposed to run on contact with 2 outs? No one in the infield was getting that ball. You wait for the ball to pass and then go. Most players do it..not try to hurdle it.
Is there a reason they want Freeland pitching tomorrow? Do they just figure Márquez has to start one of the next two days anyway at home so might as well just leave it be? We absolutely shellacked him in Colorado already this year.
The Rockies have shown nothing offensively. Even the inning when they did score against Jeffress was a lot of ground balls. One reached on an error and another that was hard hit but went about 10 feet in the air. As always, the question will be if the Brewers offense can keep from crapping the bed with runners on base. Exactly, they looked absolutely defeated and frustrated the entire Game 2. Certainly doesn’t look like they are going to turn around that offense with the flip of a switch and it isn’t like it is going to get any easier for them. Wouldn’t shock me if they check out by the 4th inning if they don’t score.
Man just watch it on some reddit stream. Better than any garbage streaming service I have ever tried. They all suck...laggy, pause a lot, and stupidly behind real time.
Why do I insist on turning on this garbage every week? Lol what blind squirrel looked at that and saw it touch a Packer? Man get the ambulance out and transport said person to a mental institution. Didn’t take long to see this week’s addition of why the NFL sucks.
My sources tell me the Brewers will announce the game 5 opening pitch thrower by Sunday, but I know who it is ahead of time and will be back with updates tonight at 9pm I have been waiting under this thread refreshing like crazy for nearly 4 hours waiting for your updates... Must still be fishing.
The entire state of Wisconsin is pretty loyal to the Brewers and overall the interest is there regardless of record. From what I have heard there is a pretty good pull of fans from the upper peninsula and from what I have always seen Twins don't really pull from western Wisconsin at all. That is one thing Wisconsin is good at...cheering for the in state teams.
I was so nervous about that game because we were on the brink of such a massive win for this year and lets be honest...our franchises history. We could have so easily ended up like the Cubs. Lose the Game 163 and then bow out in the WC game. It would have been devastating after the winning streak to put us in the position to skip the WC game completely. I don't know how this team will fare after they take care of business in the NLDS...but its such a fun team to watch after they seemed to figure it out in September.
I went to a sporting goods store (Scheels) the first Saturday after we clinched the postseason spot. The amount of people buying Brewers apparel (not postseason stuff, just general gear) was pretty sad. Bandwagon is filling up. That being said some extended success would sure be nice. Winning the division and likely making it to the NLCS will be so huge for this franchise. I can't imagine we don't draw 3mil next year. I wouldn't be surprised if we have the biggest yearly crowd in history.
