  1. We got it FSWI. I don't need 24/7 Lucroy watch.
  2. I was going to mention the AAA stadium in jest. It'll never happen, but that would be awesome and may be the only way we ever get out of the worst AAA situation in the majors. As to the final idea "casino/hotel attached to the stadium," a casino isn't possible unless he wants to give the stadium to a native American tribe, but finding a way to put a hotel up would be great for out-of-the-area fans. I live about 1-1.5 hours away, so it's tough to make it to weekday night games and still make it to work the next day. Just move the fence back a bit on Helfaer Park and we're good to go. The hotel is a great idea, but instead of a casino, it should have an indoor water park to encourage family baseball weekends / mini vacations. Yah I wish they would do something around the ballpark. A hotel just makes too much sense and put some other action around it(bar etc.). I'd imagine it would get flooded during the season it would be just fine being closed down during the off season. Of course the hotel could probably get year round business.
  3. I will dream Attanasio wants to invest in the area surrounding Miller Park. Hard to do since they didn't build downtown...oh well one can dream.
  4. Yup not big enough. They usually hold those in domes so they can pack more sardines in to watch the game.
  5. Problem is they don't want Puig. They just can't stand him anymore. If Puig tears it up and they win the World Series they will be thrilled with Puig boosting his stock.
  6. Plus, the new arena can't host football or soccer. Neither of these are going to come around often enough to garner a 10+mil investment in my opinion.
  7. Doesn't the heating system go 30 degrees above the outside temp if needed? That feels pretty dang warm compared to the outside temp as far as baseball games go. For the winter obviously that isn't ideal. The problem with hosting winter events is the fact there is about to be a state of the art downtown arena very soon. Miller Park doesn't make a ton of sense. All the major events one can think of would be better off going to the new Bucks arena.
  8. Is that really something to talk up though? Doesn't seem worth the price either/
  9. I don't see it. Yes they lack such seating many parks have, but I think the Brewers like it that way. In this announcement they talked about affordability do you really think they would turn around and announce expensive seating? Not to mention such an addition wouldn't cost millions.
  10. Pretty hard to do that at Miller Park. Nowhere to move them back. Plus that isn't expensive.
  11. A/C would be a giant waste. It wouldn't be used enough for the cost and the upkeep is probably ridiculous.
  12. That teaching doesn't pay? Sounds like she just chased the money. She could have easily pursued a teaching degree and moved to Minnesota, the place she ended up moving to, to teach.
  13. Saying one is better than Arizona when it comes to anything public schooling related isn't saying much. "Hey guys we aren't in last place!" In reality though Wisconsin is not that bad. Statistically they are still a middle of the pack state in most aspects of the job. If they want to know what bad is they should take a stroll down south or into a big city. Then they will really know how some have it.
  14. #8 Los Angeles Angels 69 86 #9 Philadelphia Phillies 70 85 #10 Milwaukee Brewers 70 85 Barring an extreme finish by us(bad or good) and a team above/below us doing the same we will pick in one of these three slots. To pick #11 we would have to outplay the Rockies by three games and we play them in a three game series to end the season. Currently the Phillies and their worse record in 2015 give them the upper hand in a tie. With the Angels we would win a tie breaker.
  15. Is it better when he literally blocked Gomez from touching the plate? Man that guy is something else.
  16. Things always sound rosy in the land of Oz. Funny how a guy like Braun who actually has produced at an elite level in a Brewers uniform for a decade should be pawned off for whatever yet guys like Wily Peralta and Jimmy Nelson who are turned out to be marginal pitchers heaven forbid should have never been (or now) traded while they actually had a bit of value. Baffling to me how it's a double standard. Sometimes it's OK to hold onto a guy for his entire career. Braun is 30+ years old, making $20mil a year, and his value is as high as it will ever go. It is also very possible it declines a lot before we ever hear the word playoffs. Peralta/Nelson are both under the age of 30, cheap, and their value is at rock bottom. Also who said we should pawn Braun off for "whatever"?
  17. The unrealistically high number that isn't true attendance usually is referred to as "paid" attendance so I have to assume tickets given away do not count.
  18. One thing is for sure DeLeon was never offered. Could he have been talked about and in the end not offered because of all the injuries? More than possible, but the fact they waited until September to call him up makes me question how much confidence they had in him helping. If they thought Jose DeLeon could help them so much why did it take them so long to promote him? Even then Braun>DeLeon going down the stretch. The theory of keeping him due to injuries is valid and possible, but I am leaning towards that not being the case. How can you possibly say that? How can LouisEly say DeLeon had to be in play? Its just common sense about the situation. The Brewers wouldn't pass on DeLeon if they had a chance to get him. One can keep hoping he was or might be, but be ready for a big let down.
  19. It has been this way forever and all teams do it this way...welcome to reality.

  21. I bet your excitement was pretty similar to the Brent Suter excitement. UPDATE: Alright not as crazy about Dillard as Suter, but pretty high on him at the time.
  22. He needs to be on the bench. This is a guy who gets signed to a long-term deal NOW. There is absolutely no reason to ever consider extending Perez. Explain why that makes any sense? He isn't that good and will never be expensive. We can control him 4 years. No need to actually commit anything long term when we don't have to.
  23. He did better in Colorado Springs than on the road. Just a fun tidbit.
  24. There really isn't much of a bidding process at all. I am not 100% on the rules, but teams aren't really allowed to provide things outside of their players. You can't pay them, you can't promise players to rehab there, pretty sure you can't promise them exhibition games at their ballpark, you can't promise to place certain players there...etc etc etc. Either the affiliate wants you or doesn't. Their decision likely comes down to record, possibly how good of prospects you have coming up, and if they believe they can market off of the players coming through down the road. Sometimes minor league owners and an MLB owner know each other and that can give them an advantage. In the grand scheme of things the affiliates could flip a coin and not be effected no matter who it is. Their money maker is fan experience not exactly how good the team is. People will say win-loss doesn't mean anything for the bottom line. That may be true, but if it doesn't matter either way do you want a 80-60 team or a 50-90 team?
  25. Guess this guy is on the Puig-wagon. http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2016/09/23/203010790/a-brewers-fan-in-a-custom-yasiel-puig-jersey-threw-a-pitch-and-told-his-story?partnerId=as_mlb_20160924_66242756&adbid=1245076542190649&adbpl=fb&adbpr=196554717042842
