  1. 6% of the Packers schedule was on Amazon. Another 6% was on NFL Network. So 12% of the Packers schedule was on channels/streaming service many people do not have. Of course, a single NFL game in a schedule is huge and each game has huge implications. So simply shrugging your shoulders and not watching that game is not as easy as missing out on 3% of the Brewers schedule in rather meaningless June games. You aren't going to lose an ounce of sleep missing these four games by not getting Apple TV, the same cannot be said for a Packers fan not watching the Giants or Titans game last year. This is annoying, but hardly something problematic for watching the sport or having interest in it.
  2. Okay, so not every game? That is the point. Even missing one game every other week would be over a dozen games you aren't watching every year. Missing a single game every week would amount to nearly 30 games you are not watching.
  3. Shouldn't they try and cater a bit to the younger generations so there are actually fans 10 years from now? 80 year old Harold who pays $300 for cable and only knows how to work three buttons on a remote is not what we need to focus on long term. People that don't have smart TVs or think streaming services are too complicated are a dying breed that will be left behind. I don't know the exact cutoff, but at some age you start going below it and you won't find a single person with cable. Now, as far as games starting to cover multiple streaming services with exclusive games...that is a delicate balance. You may need multiple streaming services to watch every single game, but as I said before, no one even does that. Now September it may be a little annoying if a game in the last few weeks gets stuck on this and we are actually in a tight race. Because those aren't just one of a 162 games at that point.
  4. Okay, who doesn't have ESPN though? If you don't have ESPN then you weren't watching games in the first place. Also, haven't the Youtube games been on Youtube, not just Youtube TV? Those have been completely free for anyone with internet access. Maybe I am wrong, that is definitely how they started though. Either way, at least they picked the absolute worst four games possible on the entire schedule for Friday nights. I mean, Royals/Reds/Pirates?
  5. Brewers should start Woodruff on opening day and then next winter we can point out in the arbitration hearing that he wasn't even the opening day starter. Then we can harvest all the sour grapes/tears he sheds to sell and increase payroll.
  6. The NFL does this and yet, the world has not yet imploded. They do it for premium marquee match-ups for night games. 4/162 games the entire year. .024% of all games. I am betting 99.999% of baseball fans watch less than 158 regular season games a year. Heck, I bet most fans watches less than 25% of games.
  7. The he handled the arbitration process...this statement is slightly questionable.
  8. I only went Greinke because Peralta is very forgettable/overshadowed over his tenure. Burnes/Woodruff are both better and more consistent. Plus other wildly likable players exist on the team too (Yeli for some and also Adames). I also continued support for Aoki. Lucroy was a good player, but he was a bit of an annoying whiner like Burnes towards the end...plus that darn suitcase falling on his hand. I actually went Morgan over Woodruff. Both have legendary postseason moments, but Morgan was quite a unique guy on a very good team. Woodruff is great, but a little more reserved/quiet. If I was filling a room with former Brewers to hang with, I would definitely want Morgan over Woodruff. Morgan's seeding was by far the worst the committee made. He should honestly be a #3.
  9. This is likely Corbin Burnes being upset he lost and making his former agency the scapegoat. So now he is going to sign with the supposed greatest agency since sliced bread for his big FA contract.
  10. That was the most rigged looking occurrence in baseball history.
  11. You definitely do not use your bat to show the umpire where you thought the ball crossed the plate. Certainly not after having a temper tantrum.
  12. Losing to a #16 seed is not going to help your rating.
  13. My team won the national championship last year and I have watched more Shaka Smart over the the years as any Marquette fan has. Shaka Smart has ZERO Sweet 16 appearances since his Final Four appearance…the only time he has seen the second weekend. He has lost in the first round 6 times. This is his first time making the round of 32 in a decade. Not exactly impressive for a guy that has typically been a fairly decent seed. I was actually surprised this was his first ever conference championship. All those years at VCU never resulted in a regular season champion team. I must be missing who was dominating that conference back then.
  14. If they trade those guys. Rookie level Arizona guys really aren't going to be the focus of return. Even if we do get a few...it is a few. Not a massive roster crunch.
  15. That Miami team is a mix of holdovers from an Elite 8 team (10 seed) that got ran over by the eventual champion and a slew of transfers. They haven't got much for darkhorse love...but they have the pieces to once again pull off some upsets.
  16. I liked him when he first started doing it...but it quickly cratered from there. I am not much of a fan.
  17. Congrats Marquette fans, get used to it. All Shaka Smart has done in the tourney is been a big ole choke job since his first few years at VCU.
  18. A few intriguing match ups finally. I picked Aoki for the biggest upset yet. He was such a fun player and is really the one Japanese player we brought over. It was always a fun story. I also went Santana over Gennett. Gennett was fun, but I remember Santana for his huge clutch hit to bring us a Game 163 win. Who knows how that entire postseason goes if we don’t win the division title.
  19. It’s been really interesting watch the total collapse of Duke and Kentucky with the freshman heavy teams. Perennial 1/2 seeds now they miss tourneys and find themselves with 4+ seeds. It was about the same time those two team started faltering (2018) that Kansas stopped even getting 1 year players and starting freshman. Kansas of course has kept up the elite success. I wonder if either of those teams might lay off Top 10 recruits or if they will just be perpetual farms for NBA lottery picks. It sure doesn’t bring the yearly success it once did.
  20. That is who I have beating Marquette in the Elite 8…and now Tennessee doesn’t even have the #1 seed in their way.
  21. Lets also not ignore the fact the Jets hired Hackett because of Rodgers. If they had a different QB I would doubt they would have gone out to get Hackett.
  22. I feel like this might have been a bit more interesting had it been set up to mix former with current Brewers. The first two brackets include like two guys on the current team (Hiura/Houser). There are at least eight more guys on the current roster yet to come, I would imagine. Would have been interesting to see if recency bias could have created some upsets. The way this is set up, these two brackets are going to be quite predictable. The other ones maybe too, being so packed with current Brewers.
  23. Pretty sure they would have already chased after Jackson if they had any interest.
  24. Great win over Memphis by the refs, clutch play at the end.
  25. I should be shocked Purdue just lost to a 16 seed, but I’m really not. Carried by one guy and the rest of the team quickly dropped off from there. Just no dependable guy outside of Edey. I had Purdue choking in the Round of 32…but here they are, making history.
