  1. Yeah while striking out nine, and hitting two home runs! You set the bar too high. For Doug Davis, getting two hits of any kind is equivalent to anybody else hitting two HR.
  2. It seems like the Brewers score a ton of runs every time I have to miss a game this spring. Then again, they've been scoring a ton of runs almost EVERY game this spring. Good to see Krynzel have two hits, although he did pick up a dreaded CS as well. Props to both Cruz's for going yard, and O had a great line today as well. JDLR's line is very impressive as well. Hopefully JJ gets it into gear sooner than later and starts building a little confidence up at the plate. Still haven't heard a bad word about his D, though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. Lee in Left hitting 4th, Kiesch pitching, Fielder DH batting 6th. Kiesch going into the game to play LF, so he enters playing LF, batting 6th. The new pitcher enters batting 4th. The DH is now out of play. I believe that is a correct interpretation. At least that's the way I've always believed it works...
  4. You've gotta love Prince Fielder's approach at the plate. I saw a game at Fox Cities Stadium two summers ago, and Prince had three hits - one each to left, center, and right. Today, three RBI singles, two to right and a 2-out single to left-center. Such a young player, and it's like he's not afraid to use the entire field...and he's got the power to go yard the other way as well. It's really hard not to be excited about Prince.
  5. Not a problem. Sitting here with the windows cranked wide open, just enjoying the nicest afternoon of the year here so far. It's great to have the Crew back.
  6. Everytime Carlos makes contact it sounds like a gun going off on the radio.
  7. Solid pitching thru 3 by Helling and Flatbrim.

  9. Prince, Lee, and Branyan is some serious thunder in the 3-4-5 spots for us. Hopefully we put a couple on the board right away here. ------------ EDIT: And that thunder accounts for a jack and 3 RBI. Nice.

  11. I'm excited to hear the young guys. This is the first game I'll be able to listen to so far, and I'm looking forward to it. Heck, with the weather today here in Wisconsin, I might have to pull the radio and a couple of beers out on the patio and listen. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  12. I couldn't have realistically expected better news than this. I just got done reading the entire thread, and it brought a huge smile to my face. Kudos to our young hitters. It sounds like they really did a number on Oakland and Seattle as a group. Hopefully JJ gets into the action with few knocks tommorrow.
  13. This IS a brilliant site, and thanks to Brian and the rest of the brain-trust for putting it together and making it the clear cut #1 site for Brewer news and comment on the internet! You have created the site where Die-hard fans come together to get excited, and you also apparently are now a prime source for some visitors. I was one of those visitors for the previous year and a half. I really should have joined in earlier, but for whatever reason didn't. I can honestly say my Brewer IQ increased dramatically just by reading the articles, forums and link reports daily. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. I guess at first I heard of BF from the ESPN board. Once I looked at BF.net, I was intrigued. After I read the daily link report and the intelligent discussion, I was hooked.
