  1. Very good point on Dombrowski, dude is willing to deal big. Their offense is so good tho but Lucroy is a big upgrade to what they have at catching.. But they have a much bigger need at starting pitching.
  2. I'd do a deal centered around Espinosa, doubt they'd be motivated to do it
  3. Honeywell is interesting but I doubt the Rays will buy with their record being about the same as ours
  4. Lol I would want a package similar to the one we got for Gomez last year I'm rooting for the Astros to start winning so they can bid for Lucroy.. Supposedly they wanted him last winter
  5. Could you give some examples of potential main pieces you do like? Giolito and Urias
  6. I hope we wouldn't prioritize with an asset like Lucroy, it would have to be your opinion on what you think of Norris. I'm not a big fan of him enough for him to be a main piece
  7. Norris is getting popped in AAA, and wasn't too superb before that either, i wouldn't be excited if he was the main piece..
  8. Wheeler was almost traded straight up for Jay Bruce last season until the reds backed out. Bruce had a down year that year too. Can't imagine his trade value being super high even with him being close to ready. I'm fine with a 3 team trade but I don't want Harvey or Wheeler back here.. Id also give Pina a chance cuz Maldys bat is useless
  9. Herb Kohl wrote this post or at the very least endorsed it with 100% enthusiasm. And where was the talent Herb Kohl led regimes drafted again? Marcus Haislip? My personal favorite was Joe Alexander. I would have to say the Brewers regime appears to have a bit more brains in the head than the Bucks-led regimes of the 2000's. http://espn.go.com/mlb/history/draft/_/team/mil Brewers draft history isn't better
  10. Honestly that package seems weak imo... I would not want Norris as a feature piece to a deal and the other two don't do anything for me
  11. Why are we concerned about Moncada compared to Arcia.. Both the same age, one is still playing A ball one is in triple A with almost half the amount of strike outs in almost the same amount of at bats. Arcia is by far more advanced defensively.. Does Yoan have more offensive potential? Perhaps, but defensively it isn't as close as offensively and again, Moncada is playing A ball still.. Arcia would probably destroy that league now
  12. 1. Arcia 2. Lucroy 3. Nelson 4. Braun 5. Villar 6. Davies 7. Smith 8. Carter 9. Jeffress 10. Thornburg
  13. I'm all for keeping Braun but that's life, you probably aren't getting good prospects for him.. You can't force a team to fork up great prospects for him. Keep him or find the best deal out there.. Also keeping lucroy makes no sense, get the best assets and run before he hits payday..
  14. I don't root for losses or care about wins this season, but rebuilding while competing and wasting assets just makes no sense and doesn't work. Luckily for you, their is one team who actually tried that strategy that you can follow. The Padres! last season at trade deadline stood pat and wasted assets.. They're a bad team now but at least they could of been a bad team with a few more assets.
  15. I dislike wheeler as a headliner to but holding onto him is even worse...
  16. For 1 1/2 years of a catcher playing at an All-Star level and a team trying to trade for Lucroy are going to have to give up at least 2 A type prospects. Anything less and the Brewers are losing on the deal by a lot. The team that is acquiring Lucroy is getting 1 1/2 years at a very small salary plus they are getting a compensation pick when Lucroy leaves the following year. So the team acquiring Lucroy is getting more than just 1 1/2 years of an All-Star level of play at catcher. Just for a 1/2 of a season for Lucroy would be Devers + B-/C type prospect. The market right now for hitters no matter the position is in favor of the seller as the buyer is going to have to pay a premium in order to get a player they want. The Rays are not going to be buyers in this market so you can cross them off the list. The Rangers are also not going to trade for Lucroy unless they can get him for Brinson and a lower level prospect. The Dodgers also don't make any sense at all for a Lucroy trade. They already have their catcher for the next few years in Barnes and Grandal. I don't see the Dodgers giving up on Grandal this early. Though Braun to the Dodgers does make sense here and depending on how much the Brewers pick up salary wise will determine the type of prospects the Brewers will get in return. So which team is giving up two A type prospects? And who are these prospects?
  17. Nah he's probably right, some of these ideas are somewhat unrealistic hauls, especially for braun
  18. This team is not close to a competing team. That strategy could set us back big if you don't sell your best assets when you're a mediocre team.. Especially buying We have to be patient and aquire a pool of young players with years of control for long term success
  19. Yeah, I hate to say it but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for the team to come into the All-Star break with a poor record. I still have a big fear that they will go off their plan to build a winning franchise and chase the playoffs for one year. That would be horrific if they decided not to trade guys, but I have no doubts Stearns will continue the path towards the rebuild..
  20. Do people care about winning this year? I don't care about wins or losses.. Just want to see the guys play well, especially the trade chips..
  21. Red sox would probably laugh that one off ^
  22. Another gem for Zach so far.. He doesn't throw hard but his command is top notch
  23. he needs a day off, not seeing the ball well at all i take that back
