  1. Plus he has missed quite a bit of time on the DL nothing major but has missed time each year.
  2. This is the type of trade that you depend on your scouts and hope they can catch lighting in a bottle if works our great if does not then w hat are you out absolutely nothing .
  3. Unfortunately I belive that was our only real opportunity to get out of there I would rather not have a triple A Farm Club then to be stuck there for 2 more seasons just can't see any postive comming out of that situation it totally hurts the development of our pictures and it's not good for developing our hitters either ,so we reup for two years and then get screwed when they move to San Antonio ,why help them out just get by with out a afilataite for two years . Load up at double A keep the rest at extended spring traning would be better off then what we have now.
  4. Helena scores 11 runs off 15 hits no extra bases all singles.
  5. Sorry out at my daughters softball games just one thought on our 1st round pick I like him a lot huge upside great athlete only one question how many of these type of outfilders can we utilize? Seems to me we are in more need of power hitters and top end pitching .
  6. So what I have come up with in summary is most belive that fans do not come to the park to see Braun nor will he have a huge impact in bring in any financial subsidence to the brewer's until the rebuild is finished so to me the only reason you would not trade Braun would be if he could bring value to the Yong players delvop and only the brewer's can answer that, but if it was me and I was offered a couple top prospects I would do it . YOU have sold the fans on the rebuild and that won't last forever so you need to maximize all assets and that means selling Braun well there is value .
  7. If he keeps his production at some were near this point his contract is or should not be an issue for any team in contention for the playoffs . The big question will be his value just like the opinion of this board his value will be all over the place among GMs .
  8. With Braun off to one of his better starts and if he stays healthy until the trade deadline has he now become a high trade assist WITHOUT having to buy back large portion of his contract? We all know Braun's health can change as fast as the weather in Wisconsin but for argument sake he stays healthy until the break and relatively on pace to his production has he become a trade target that could bring in close to or even succeed that of Lucroy? Please discuss
  9. Starting pitching for the most part has been outstanding on every club, let's hope it stays that way .... knock on wood.
  10. true but Lucroy is under contract long enough that if that is the case they will be well aware of any new language that they could still trade him before he becomes a free agent
  11. The top dozen propects minus Lopez all at the age of 21 or under . The future so bright you got a wear shades.
  12. Great to see the Sky Socks battle back to tie in the eighth, seems like last year everytime that got behind it ended with an L .
  13. I'm fine with conservative placements early in the year ,in fact belive it's in the best intrest of the players to do so,let them have repeated success in a short period of time then promote let success bread success. In my view the change needs to be a more liberal promotion of players during the season,it seems in the past the brewer's have been reluctant to do so expect mid season changes. If a player earns it then move em and then cull out some of the AAAA players at CS.
  14. 1st I agree Bauer has talent but he's not the type of pitcher that is a simple mechanical fix that one coach sees something and says I can fix him .. This kid can and has been just sailing along pounding it then blam it's gone, he's not controllable wild IMOP he just tend s to lose it for large chunks of time that tends to be mental and mechanical and for that reason I would pass for what it probable cost would be to obtain him.
  15. He sure looked rough at 2b today 3 Es all routine ground balls , I know it's just one day but just saying glove was aufull today.
  16. [sarcasm][/sarcasm] Agree but do you have to carry 5 at the break of camp? With time of in April plus the likelyhood of additional time off due to weather (road games) could we not make better use of the roster by calling up a player when and if Braun goes on the DL ?
  17. Being that we are in rebuild mode and that you are talking limited playing time the chance that one of the veterans plays well enough to make them a trade chip at the deadline is ify at best,so why not give the nod to youth and see what we have ,are they 4AAA players or is there something to develop?. It should not be about if that bench player can help you win a game or two it needs to be about looking at who can help you win in 17 and 18.
  18. 1 Orlando Arcia SS - Last time for this list IMO does it all, early call up long long stay 2 Jorge Lopez P - should end up a main stay in the starting rotation strong 2 in his prime. 3 Josh Hader P - I think he has more upside then Lopez nasty lefthanded starter who may end up a number 1 stater. 4 Trent Clark OF - love this kid he could hit a tic tac. 5 Brett Phillips OF - going to be a solid CF just not quite as high on him as other's on this board are.. 6 Gilbert Lara SS - will be number one on this list at some point Uber talented. 7 Isan Diaz SS - not sure where his best position will be in the pro's but his bat will play anywhere. 8 Jake Nottingham C - if he can stay at C his value will continue to increase due to the value of the position, if he moves to 1st does he have enough power ? 9 Nathan Kirby P - shut down with TJS but once healthy should rise up the system fast. 10 Kodie Medieros P has it all ,except he's not 6 4 250 ,stays up the list if he remains a stater. 11Cody Ponce P - has a ton of out pitches for his age has a chance to be very good pitcher looks like a very nice stable of arms comming to Milwaukee. 12 Monte Harrison OF- would have had similar numbers to Diaz in the Pioneer leauge had he remained healthy. Another Uber talented player. 13 Demi Orimolye OF - Last year's draft was amazing has a chance to be special. 14 Devin Williams P - as he gains maturity so should the velocity another plus arm. 15 Marcos Dispatch P - another smaller in size with a big big arm . 16 Zach Davis P - Just one of those pitchers that may not have an overpowering fastball or a devastating breaking pitch just very smart and knows how to pitch and outstanding control. 17 - Tryon Taylor OF a very good player that's how much this system has improved ,so many good outfielders in this system. 18 Clint Coulter OF 1B - ALL kinds of power needs to lock down a definite position and own it . Think the brewer brass needs to get him to AA ,or he won't be on any ones list ,power hitters need to succeed he can't hear. 19 Yadiel Rivera SS - The type of player you have to have in your system great defense multi position player probably a Super Utility type in the pro's . 20 Jacob Gatewood 3B - HOPEFULLY he starts putting it all together shows you just enough to get excited then dry spells needs to start having longer good streaks and less dry spell , 21 Taylor Williams P - If he can recover totally will rocket his way up the list great arm . 22 Adrain Houser P - May end up in the bull pen in the majors the last pice in the trade with Houston plus arm 23 Damon Maginifico P - love his stuff our future closer? 24 Victor Roach OF - has the talent but it's a though road to find a spot in the out field with this group. 25 Dustin Houle C - has all the tools to be a major leauge C ,just like P you can't have enough good C in your system .
  19. Total agree he's having a nice spring but one word of caution on the power , in the Arizona spring most everyone has a power boost.
  20. If we were to eat that much of his contact, what's the point? You are almost all in so why not wait and see if he has a break out 1st half and then trade him if he's the same Garza as last year what are you out? In your scenario you were going to eat the contract anyway.
  21. I am pretty sure those are a Youth Jersey given out at a brewer youth camp.
