How much could I/should I expect to get for a 2011 Milwaukee Admiral/Brewers Bob Uecker bobblehead with box? Also, how much less value does a bobble have if it doesn't come with a box? I was debating whether or not to put me entire collection up for sale, but I don't have boxes for the majority of them.

I like the idea of him more than Boggs and Reed because he's had some pretty good seasons in the past. I wouldn't give up a ton for him but I'd be ok acquiring him.

Well....no offense to any of the players participating, but now I see why the Brewers have the worst system in baseball. Hopefully in 2013 this game has some more higher ceiling prospects. I still think its a great idea though and I hope it continues on.

Why has the coverage of hockey tanked so badly in recent years then? Do the Bucks have anything to do with this? It seems like every time I want to see a Badger Hockey game, there is instead a Bucks game on. I know Minnesota has the TWolves, but hockey is huge in Minnesota and the University of Minnesota is located in the same direct area as the TWolves. UW is not in a major (or more major) market like the Bucks are.

What a horrible spring. This is exactly what I was worried about with our severe lack of depth. The only good news is that third base is the one position that we seem to have a major league ready replacement for him in Gamel. Maybe the Brewers should just forfeit the rest of the spring and take the week or so off.

I find some of these comments odd. I haven't been following college hockey long, but it seems like the the only way to increase it's popularity is to increase it's exposure...i.e. television. It will never be college football or college basketball, but there is still plenty of room for improvement. The casual observer may be more interested in watching UW play a hockey game against Michigan or Ohio St because they have heard of them and, as dumb as this sounds, may just assume those programs are better than Minnesota-Duluth or Nebraska-Omaha. People complain about the lack of rivalries which is fine, but rivalries will form. In 20 years people will have forgotten all about that UW-Michigan Tech series. The conference does need to add more teams though if the more casual hockey fans are going to take it seriously.

The more i think about it though, the less i think we'll see a bunch of college hockey on BTN. First of all, college hockey simply gets terrible ratings. I have to think there was some sort of agreement about the television before teams like Wisconsin and Minnesota agreed to leave the WCHA. Minnesota has a lot of games on FSN and I can't imagine they'd be willing to leave that behind just to join a Big 10 hockey conference. But I guess only time will tell.

Just like coverage tanked for football and basketball when BTN started up. I used to be able to get games on PBS late at night at the very least. Even those have all but disappeared. Really? Just about every Big Ten football game in on tv now, even the Minnesota and Northwestern games. I am a huge Michigan football fan and the BTN has been a godsend for me, at least after my local cable provider picked it up. I know Michigan was on a lot before but now even when they play crap teams like Akron or Western Michigan I know the game is going to be on. I suspect that there will be at least two hockey games on the BTN a week, possibly more. Plus I'm sure it will cover the post season tournament. I think this is great but I hope more Big 10 teams add hockey.

I think Illinois has a pretty decent club team don't they? And Iowa has a club team too. I wonder if either of them have any interest in D1 Hockey. Hopefully this provides better coverage too. I have to imagine there'd be at least one game on the Big 10 network every Friday night. There isn't a whole lot of decent programming to put on on Friday nights during the winter. College Basketball doesn't usually have games on Friday nights.

This is very exciting news, but I wonder if they can survive as a 6 team conference. Either way, I'd much rather watch weekends series against Ohio St, Penn St and Michigan then Bemidji St, Minnesota St and Michigan Tech.

At least one team in the HCS Championship Game should automatically be given to an ACC team. I think the ACC is a weak conference. At least weaker than the Big East and even the Big 10 lately. First, there's travel costs; it's one thing to fly 20 people around carrying basketball uniforms and shoes, flying 100 people with football equipment (plus a band and band equipment) is a lot greater cost. It's not just revenue, it's revenue minus costs. Right, but they make due with one game because of tv revenue and ticket sales along with other sponsorships. They'll be more games to add more revenue to help offset any costs. The non-D-1 schools do it, but they also aren't spending $1.5M on football scholarships (plus $2M on coaches salaries). Most football programs are in the red already; that's why teams love to play UW in non-conference games The non-D1 schools also don't have anywhere close to the amount of fans D1 schools do. They also don't make the same off of merchandise sales. D1 schools have a lot more sources of income than non D1 schools. Also, teams in the red can still schedule those games to make money. Nothing will change with that. And if they happen to make the tournament, I'm sure they'll come out ahead. So think about that - if Wisconsin was one of the teams in the tournament, would you have gone to the Rose Bowl or would you have waited to see if they beat TCU and made it to the 2nd round or championship game? That is a good point. But I think the lost ticket sales from students and alum will at least partially be made up by locals buying more tickets. I think a lot of the people who go to the basketball tournament games are locals and people would be more willing to go to a tournament game than a bowl game. Beside, if you look at some of the non-marquee bowl games, those stadiums are embarrassingly empty too. It's not like all the bowl games draw 90,000 fans. The Beef O Brady bowl drew 20,000 fans. The Humanitarian Bowl 25,000 and the New Orleans Bowl a shade under 30,000. That's not good for college football (even Big East football average 40,000 fans). if a star player gets hurt (like Brian Butch did), or if you have one bad officiating call in an early round game (like the Big East tournament this year) the best team may not even make it to the championship game. The thing is, how do you determine who the "best team" is every year? How can you convince TCU fans that Oregon and Auburn were both better than them, especially after TCU beat Wisconsin? My ideal tournament would include 16 teams and 4 rounds, but I'd be ok with a 12 team tournament with the top four seeds getting a bye.

It's all driven by money my friend. Very much agreed. I just don't understand how these college presidents think a football tournament is not going to make as much money as these bowl games. I think the football tournament would eventually be bigger than the basketball tournament. The main problem that I see is that the big schools/power conferences have a monopoly on the system as it stands and have no reason to switch. After all, why would the SEC want to take the chance that TCU beats Auburn and claims the championship?

We all know the NCAA tournament is boring and there is never any excitement. The BCS (basketball championship series) is the way to go! Who wants to see a bunch of teams competing against each other to see who is best when a computer can tell us which two teams deserve to be in the championship game? Here is my BCS lineup which is surely just as exciting as some stupid tournament! Championship game: Ohio St (1) vs Kansas (2) Sugar Basketball game: Kentucky vs Pittsburgh Rose Basketball game: Arizona vs San Diego St Orange Basketball game: Duke vs UConn Fiesta Basketball game: North Carolina vs Texas And some more exciting matchups: BYU vs St Johns Wisconsin vs Florida Texas AM vs West Virginia Purdue vs Vanderbilt etc etc etc blah blah blah You get the point. I hope everyone picked up on my sarcasm in this thread. The NCAA tournament is the greatest thing in all of sports. The BCS is the stupidest thing in all of sports. It's ironic how for the two most popular college sports, one can end the very best way and the other can end the stupidest way possible.

As part of my 20 game pack I got 8 ticket upgrade vouchers. However there were so many restrictions on when they can be used that of all the 20 games I have, I was only able to use them for three games so I have two vouchers left. First person to say they want them can have them...free of course. Just let me know.

Does anyone know how you can remove a malware program called "Windows Remedy" without having to pay for a new program to do it? I've run both Windows Defender and Webroot Antivirus but neither seemed to get rid of it.

I am thinking it probably is the battery. Thanks for the help. I bet the last one I bought was cheap and just took a dump on me because the battery life seemed to go from 2 hours to about 30 minutes with nothing in between.

Does it do it only when its off the charger? Yes it only does it when its off the charger. And it won't turn back on until I plug it back in. Could be overheating, that will cause system to shut down. I don't think that is happening. I actually had that problem before where it was shutting off because it was over heating and I have been much more cognizant of that problem. After it first started happening I took the cover off and cleaned it out some with an air blaster but that didn't seem to have much of an affect.

I have been having some issues with my laptop lately I wanted to ask about. When the computer is not plugged in, it dies when the little indicator in the bottom right says the battery life is at about 70% or so. Normally I'd just assume that I need a new battery, but before I spend one hundred and some odd dollars on one I wanted to make sure that it couldn't be something else. The Battery I have now is already a replacement and cant be more than a year old. And if the battery was really draining that quickly, wouldn't the indicator in the bottom right tell me so instead of shutting off when it says the battery level is at 70%?

Isn't soccer a popular sport in the suburbs? I'd imagine they would want to build a stadium in Brookfield or Mequon or someplace like that if they got a team. I think it probably depends on who builds the stadium. If Milwaukee puts any more towards it it would obviously have to be in Milwaukee. If a private party pays for it, I imagine he could put it anywhere that allows it. I just can't imagine a place like Brookfield or especially Mequon wanting a stadium with all the additional traffic and noise it would bring. Remember when Concordia University in, I believe, Mequon wanted to build a small baseball stadium to allow for a summer league team to play and Mequon wouldn't allow it without very specific rules? And that was just a stadium for maybe 2,000 people.

And I don't think soccer would do very well here. Wisconsin is a football state. Wisconsin is a football state, but I think there'd be a nice bit of support for soccer. It seems like just about every kid who plays a sport plays soccer because it's super easy to organize. You need a big open plot of land and a ball. I think that they could draw a good number of kids to games, especially once school lets out. I also think if the stadium was downtown you'd draw more people because they can walk to nearby bars and restaurants afterwords. I'd be much more likely to attend a game downtown than in say Brookfield or Mequon or one of the suburbs. I don't particularly want a team, but I think it would be nice for the city to have one. I'd also like to see an international game in Milwaukee every now and then and they could have a really competitive high school tournament there as well. Wisconsin has some very good high schools teams (Brookfield East/Central, Marquette, Muskego in boys, Catholic Memorial, DSHA, and Pius for girls)

My layman's opinion is that the Milwaukee sports scene is pretty well saturated and would probably have a difficult time supporting another professional sports team. See I agree with that too, but most of that is in the fall/winter season. Outdoor soccer I believe is a spring/summer league? If you look at Milwaukee's sporting teams, in the winter you have the Packers, Bucks, Admirals, Marquette Bball, UWM Bball, the Wave, and you could even include Wisconsin Badger Football/Bball./Hockey. But the spring/summer season only has the Brewers and an indoor football league team. I think Milwaukee could support a team if they got one, though I wouldn't imagine them winning any attendance records any time soon. And I do think it would be great for the city itself if there were a stadium downtown. Downtown Milwaukee needs something to breathe some life into it (and apparently whatever it is is not allowed to be a strip club : )
