I'd like to start stretching him out again and let him get some more extended outings. How about starting him every fifth day in a piggyback situation or "bullpen game" situation. That would be easier in September after callups but I'd rather start it now.

Not picking on you, but every time I have read a statement like this over the past 19 years it has driven me crazy. Dallas had the #6 pick, Milwaukee had picks #9 and #19. This trade was a pre-draft deal. If the Bucks did not agree to this deal, Dallas would have simply picked Dirk at #6. Dallas made the deal because the Bucks were willing to trade them #19 (which they flipped to Phoenix for Nash). There is no scenario in which the Bucks could have ended up with Dirk. They could not have "kept" him because he was never theirs. As soon as the deal was made prior to the draft, he always belonged to Dallas, and if the deal had never been made, he would have been picked by Dallas. The Bucks have made some incredibly dumb moves over the years, but this one should not be included since they really did not "trade away a future HOFer" which is how people tend to characterize this deal. The criticism they truly deserve from that draft? Paul Pierce was pick #10. This is very polite spin from the Bucks over the years. If the Mavs wanted Dirk that bad they would have just taken him at 6 and Bucks would have messed up 9 and 19 just fine on their own. To risk 7 and 8 taking Dirk would make no sense for Dallas. Because they didn't think anyone else knew about him or had him ranked that high and thought gaining the 19th pick was worth the risk. If they wanted Traylor so badly, why did they trade him? Obviously, nobody knows how Brinson will produce early on but to base it on his brief MLB callup doesn't tell us anything. I can't believe nobody brought it up (maybe I missed it) but didn't Broxton go 1 for April (slight exaggeration?) last year before being sent down and coming back up to have a solid finish?

I like the makeup of this team so much better than the Fielder teams. I feel like top to bottom we have guys that can get on base, work the count and put pressure on the pitchers. Those teams were so hot or cold and we had so many 5 pitch innings it seemed. This is a fun team to watch.

I love this deal. I rarely sit in my seat... or any seat during a game. Even when I had a 10 pack for several seasons on the first level, I would often walk around and watch the game while standing from different vantage points. On rare occasions on a weeknight, I might sit in a sparsely populated section for an inning but I sit at a desk all day and it's nice to stand and watch... especially with the tables/counters they have installed by the micro brew stand on the 2nd level, I now have a place to put my beer with a decent view of the game.

5th time already that all teams in the system won. I'm not sure that happened once last year.

Unless I missed it, nobody mentioned another perfect day for the organization. I believe that is number 4 already.

Didn't Villar get on twice already? I don't care if he got on twice, you can't get caught stealing 3rd with Braun at the plate. He hasn't sat once and he hasn't done anything all year, move him down in the order until he gets straightened out.

I was at that game. I was 13 and didn't appreciate its significance, I thought they were going back every year. A couple observations. It seemed like the Tigers pitcher never really got set during his delivery out of the stretch. And it was odd seeing a closer (Fingers) pitch out of the windup.

Funny... that was on his baseball card from around 1977 (78?) or so and I've never forgotten it.
